Not sure the 50% matters much. He's signed for just the rest of the season. That's what a 4th round pick?

If they don't walk away with at least one of Hughes, Mercer, or Nemec, you can almost assume SJ got fleeced unless we're talking some gigantic quantity with the rest of what NJ has.

Looks like an arms race in the East this year boys and girls, let's hope General Dubas has another trick up his sleeve, or we might be vulnerable to the yankees ;)

Now comes the Kane to Rangers trade...then we can actually see the other trades -_-....
I don't get the sense that is holding anything back. It was always a limited list and the assumption is that they are holding off to increase cap savings until the last minute. I can't imagine any team feels like they're in on that option. I also can't imagine any team is holding out waiting for NYR on the Kane situation to eliminate an active blocking bid.

Holtz + Mukhamadullin + picks would still be pretty good for SJS.

I’m guessing it’s a 2023 first, conditional 1st on Meir resigning, Mukhamdullin, prospect and roster player

The Rangers started their rebuild well after the Leafs without getting any real dynamic players from the draft and look what they did last year and look like they may again this year. Balanced teams seem to do better than teams with a star attraction.
Insane take.
