We're gonna have a playoff run? Are the last four games good enough to erase what was done prior to that?

If they finally work out that we need Pavelski on his own line, then yeah as good a chance as any in the West apart from the Hawks. Probably one scoring winger away.

Only time will tell that. But as a fan I am going to keep a positive frame of mind and hope that it does. If we do keep this play up, there is no way we do not have a playoff run.

At the same time, I am not sure trading Clowe will impact us as much because we were starting to play better without Clowe before he returned. I am ok trading him contingent on the quality of the return.

6th place yo

The important question to ask is whether this team has what it takes to make a legitimate run. Making it is one thing. Doing something when you get there is another. This team can't get the job done on the road. We've beaten Anaheim and St. Louis on the road this year that is a playoff team. They're going to have a mountain to climb to beat Chicago in a 7 game series. I don't think this team is good enough in terms of the depth to get past the second round even with the three line split that gives them their best shot.

If we keep Burns up front, we're relying on Demers, Braun, and Irwin as half of our D for this run and that's a lot of inexperience and concern when it comes to playoff style hockey. I'm not worried so much about Demers as I am Braun and Irwin.

The Sharks haven't matched up well with the Wild for a while now. I want Detroit, STL, Anaslime, or LA.

Wait, we match up well against St. Louis? We'd get killed by the Hawks, I want no part of RPG, we have all sorts of bad luck against Vancouver, and LA would be tough as hell.

Ya, Canucks and Wild coming up. We actually have a chance to sweep the Canucks but that ****ing stanchion gives me nightmares still. Although without Murray maybe we won't score so many own goals against Vancouver.

The team will be set by the time the Wild come into town. Everything this team and its tradeable players have to prove will be done at the end of the Vancouver game. I'm sure the team can push either team in a post-season series but I don't think they can beat them in a seven game series when their road play is woeful.

The Sharks would. Wild are a decent team but definetly a notch below Anaheim, L.A. and Chicago.

The only team the Sharks don't have a chance against is Chicago. They match up well against the Ducks and Kings. They'll be underdogs against the Canucks or Wild but they'll have a decent chance. I just don't see them getting past the second round and a lot of it is how they play on the road. They're just not good and that's not a good omen for a team that isn't going to be the higher seed after the first round most likely.

The ideal situation would be the Ducks killing the Hawks before they got to the Sharks and then the Sharks killing Anaheim.

So who do we bring up for a depth player as a forward? Kearns...? I don't even know who's playing well down in the AHL...

If we get this Koko kid is a player in the NHL right now?

Well, trading Clowe doesn't mean that the Sharks can't go out and trade for another forward if they want. If I had to guess, they'd just play Handzus or Burish on the fourth line and just not let them play. lol

I can live with Handzus on the ice winning draws and killing penalties then being taken off then just rotate the fourth line guys with having spot shifts with other players.

As far as targets go, if the team is going to be the Rangers to get Clowe, any chance we can pry Chris Kreider? Would you guys want him?
