Some people just have no sense. Or can't be bothered to look up a depth chart.
Well the Miller thing wasn't started by illegitimate sources (like the Heatley rumor was for example) Nick Kyperos of Sportsnet first reported that "Ryan Miller's days in Buffalo are numbered") and it was also reported on NBC Sports' official website:

Not sure what else you'd need to call this a legitimate rumor haha. I don't know if I would take Miller per-se but come around 2014 we will need a stopgap goalie. Miller along with Kirpusoff (will be 37), Hiller, Halak, Dubnyk, Crawford, Vokoun, Elliot, Gustavsson, Giguere, Biron, Clemmensen, Scrivens, Peters, Zatkoff...those will all be options coming up. Obviously Dubnyk and Crawford are completely unrealistic (plus I don't even think I'd want a bonified starter as that would sacrifice Wedgewood's development.)
However someone like a Kipper, Vokoun, Elliot all seem realistic & reliable stop-gap options if Brodeur decides to not come back.
If Jake Allen out-performs Halak and if Hiller slides down the depth chart I wouldn't count those two either. (Again though, getting one of those two would would sacrifice the future of Wedge as our potential number one.) As far as "life after Marty" goes I don't think we'll be that bad if we get a quality stop-gap while Wedgewood/Kinky continue to develop.
