I think they would rather a player like Smith or if Greening is looking as a 'dump' they may look at him.

Maybe:

Del Zotto + Hrivik + Pouliot/Pyatt

Zib + Smith/Greening(If he is looked at as a dump, unknown to me, don't take this the wrong way)/Gryba

I honestly would rather add a forward as I think Falk has been pretty decent as the #6.

Sens can't give up 2 young centers in one deal, it would kill their depth. Zibanejad is a much better centre than winger anyways, he could easily be an effective 3rd line centre, and put up 20 goals if you give him PP time. Ottawa is trying to convert him to wing and there's some growing pains in that process.

You REALLY shouldn't consider Gryba and Ceci to have similar value. Not even the same stratosphere. I know Gryba had a really good game against you guys last year, but normally he's a borderline NHLer.

and it seemed pretty well received.

People on this board act like Michalek has no value, but the dude adds LW depth and can actually bury the puck. Yeah, he's a walking injury, but he would essentially be a rental for this season.

Gryba adds a bottom pairing RHD who's still RFA after this season.

One of Puempel/Lazar/Ceci would help us at a position of weak organizational depth. I would personally prefer Ceci.

This makes sense to me. Now, to Ottawa, who knows. Not interested at all in Conacher. Too many smaller forwards already with Callahan, Hagelin, MZA, Moore

Michalek, while injury prone and having a tough year, would be a heck of an upgrade on the LW.

Rangers would have to send a bit more cap money their way to make it work financially...
