Since it seems like a few people have named Carson Soucy, any reason to be excited about him? Looks like he was doing reasonably well up until this season.
I remember people were clamouring for him before he signed on to the Canuck struggle bus.

This same mindset is why we have to watch garbage goaltending every night meanwhile Colorado doesn’t.
They do still have to watch it. It’s not like Blackwood hasn’t had his struggles with them.

It’s just they haven’t been as pronounced as Skinner’s and Pickard’s.

Blackwood had a skinner like run for 5 games then blasted out 2 consecutive shutouts. He has been unbelievable for them.

He has a 921 sv% since getting to Colorado. Let that sink in. Our goaltending situations aren’t in the same galaxy

Multiple 1st rounders and a 2nd for 20-or-so games of Gourde and a one dimensional winger at full clip.

Yeah, I'll sit that one out, thanks.
Tampa did it to reset the market. Made it so that every team has to pay a premium for players. They've been doing this with Hagel, Jeannot, Paul and now these guys

The Oilers prioritize "loyalty" to an absurd degree. The best orgs in the league don't give a crap about that. The Bolts saw that Stamkos was declining and said "Thanks for your good years of service, see you later".

Meanwhile, we sure love picking up over the hill bums like Duncan Keith, Mike Smith, and the mishmash of crappy depth forwards we have now.

Yet Mike Smith played objectively and consistently better than your boy Stu behind an objectively worse defense. One without Ekholm. The Mike Smith of 2022 wins a Cup behind the Oiler defense of the previous two seasons.

Telling Dustin Schwartz to FO probably extended his career too. Again, very odd for you to have that caption and shit on the one goalie who knew Schwartz was a total fraud.

Teams will just wait out the market like they always do.

That said, Tampa likes those players. And like always, they're willing to pay to get. Nobody complains because they're a southern market that churns out value depth players.

HAHAAHAHAHAH, okay bootlicker. Then where the f*** is their goalie? Year 10 of McDavid, and the oilers still don’t have a long term solution in net. But hey, feel free to get another 4C Bjugstad/Carrick like plug and a depth dman like Stecher. That will solve the goaltending problems. f*** off, Gregor

The Oilers aren't in "win now" mode.

They're in "make McDavid carry a flawed roster as far as he can before exhausting himself" mode.

Since those shutouts he has played six games with 3 games each of good numbers and not good numbers.

Goalies are voodoo and he epitomizes that.

He's .921 in Colorado. That's not "voodoo", that's called stopping the puck quite a lot.

The Oilers are basically that guy who had a girl break his heart one time and now believes relationships are a scam for everyone, lol.

A reminder that the Hawks dynasty was built by Dale Tallon, who drafted all of Keith, Seabrook, Kane, Toews, Byfuglien, Bolland, Hjarmulsson, as well as trading for Sharp and Havlat, and signing Hossa. He was replaced in 2009 by Bowman.

Martin Havlat famously criticized the Hawks for demoting Tallon and promoting Bowman, saying “ McDonough (President) couldn't stand that Dale was so successful and getting the credit for building the Hawks from a last place team to making the Conference Finals in 3 short years. Remember, we were also the youngest team in the NHL last year," Havlat said.

"Every single player on that team is with Dale. I still talk to the guys all the time, hockey players know a phony when they see one."

Bowman’s ‘cups’ are completely the work of Tallon, and his legacy in Chicago is trading Panarin for Saad, as well as putting the team in cap hell and failing to retool while Kane and Toews were still in their 20s. What you’re seeing with him right now is what you will get.

Actually, not accurate here

Reality Hawks success was product of 4 GM's over a long stretch

- Keith, Seabrook, Byfuglien and Crawford were all drafted by Mike Smith
- Bolland, Bickell and Brouwer were drafted by Bob Pulford (2004 draft)
- Hjalmarsson, Toews, Kane and Kruger were drafted by Tallon

Tallon brought in Sharp, Versteeg and Ladd via trades and signed Niemi, Campbell and Huet as FA's

There was power struggle already underway in summer of 2009 when offer sheet fiasco happened that Bowmans won and Havlat was big part of it

Tallon wanted to sign Havlat to longterm deal but Bowman's could land Hossa and upper management went with Bowman's signing of Hossa (Hindsight thank god the Hawks got Hossa and didn't extend Havlat)

Madden, Kopecky and Hossa signings were result of Bowman's and Tallon was demoted

After offseason of 2010 cap purge Bowman to his credit brought parts of 2013 and 2015 cup teams in

Notable Bowman acquisitions for 2013 and 2015 cup teams

- Saad, Shaw and Teravainen via draft
- Leddy, Oduya, Frolik, Stalberg, Handzus and Vermette via trades (Also reacquired Versteeg who was part of 2015 cup team)
- Rozsival, Emery, Richards, Darling and Van Riemsdyk via FA

So to say "Tallon built Hawks cup teams" is far wrong

The big failings of Bowman that ultimately saw Hawks falloff were poor trades of young talent early in careers. Teravainen, Danault, Schmaltz, Hartman, Jokiharju and Forsling were all traded away by Bowman in several bad deals as he tried to prolong Hawks cup window and in case of Forsling and Jokiharju sided with his idiotic coach who didn't view them as his type of "Defenders"

And of course, the Panarin trade turned out to be terrible deal

And Hawks drafting taking nosedive in his 2nd half of his time as GM with only Debrincat and Jokiharju being notable quality picks (And he gave away Joker in bad trade as 19 yr old) with several guys busting in Boqvist, Beaudin and big one in Dach

Bowman also couldn't draft defenders for shit so when Keith/Seabrook declined there was nothing there to replace them

Tony, who is KGill and messages every freaking on the air. Like that's all he does
That's me. Why shouldn't I freak out on the air when I'm on especially when there are garbage performances like last night? I'll freak out every f***ing single time.

LOL, Gazzola just called him out on EST for misquoting him.

Honestly, anything that guy posts should be taken with a huge grain of salt because the reading/listening comprehension just doesn't seem to be there.
He called out me. Yeah I misquoted him because I got excited. At least I'm not lying about when I make a mistake.
