Looks like Zach is following my posts on HF...
Our farm is pretty damn bare right now. I would definitely have time for Rantanen, but all of our trade assets that I would move for him have NTC's. There are 2 players on this team that I wouldn't trade if we could get Rantanen here and signed long term. Can you imagine him with McDavid or Draisaitl? Boom.

No goaltending upgrade would be a good enough reason for McDavid to want to walk at free agency. Even if he is hurt and we aren't going to win it all this season, let's start filling some important holes in the lineup and give ourselves a punchers chance.
Shouldn't the Oilers have traded a 6th or something for Vrana? Guy's been scoring at a pretty decent rate, makes minimum salary. Can skate. Could've given him really good line mates here too.

Not sure I would trade for Rantanen at this point. Cost too much to re-sign. For the same assets, it could return us Rakell and Soderblom. We could keep re-sign Frederic and Soderblom and keep Rakell under the cap next season.

Management are clowns. This guy was the perfect fit even last year. We have people at the helm who are here to collect a paycheck. Nothing else.
Take notes oilers management. This is what you should do when you have McDrai on this team. Not the f***ing dollar in dollar out excuse
You can afford to do that when you've won multiple Cups with your aging core. If the Oilers do that and miss, you're salting the Earth for the next contracts of your world class elites.

That’s exactly why McDavid doesn’t have a true number one starter in net, another top 6 scoring winger, and a hole in the 2nd pair RHD. Things that have existed year after year.

Oilers media have miss placed priorities. It should be their job to call out this management group. They report news to the paying public. Its doing the fanbase a disservice to be a organization schill. It should be high time to rip into this management.
