Maybe Ekholm and Klingberg were held back because they are getting shipped out tomorrow.

Nurse, Walman, Kulak at LD seems fine if a good RD is being added.

You would think a team looking for offense on their D might go for Klingon? He's a nice to have if something happens to our D in the playoffs but I'd rather use that cap hit to help afford a better goalie.

Guy is a beast and one of my favourite Oilers. Hes had a bit of a tough year but I think hes such a gamer. He could fall off at some point or he might not.

That's rich from the Avs, but Nelson can score. Perennial 30-40 goal guy.

The problem with these additions is a guy like Nelson isn’t going to have a primary offensive role to put up those numbers.

They are willing to pay the price to win. Now are the Oilers? If they don't acquire a better goalie then the answer is no, and that they're more concerned about controlling the narrative than winning.

Agreed. We usually don’t shoot for the stars so it’s not really surprising. Rantanen would have been an awesome addition though as we desperately need some form of secondary scoring (RNH, Hyman, Arvidsson, Skinner et al aren’t cutting it)

Well I thought this year we had a step up because the West was weaker, but man the AVS and Dallas loaded up.

With that said, I still don't know where Walman fits outside of 3rd pairing LD which seems like an expensive use of assets for a guy they're pairing with Emberson most likely.
