At least upgrade on Pickard. We need a backup that can fill in for multiple games in a row when Skinner starts playing bad. Pickard can’t seem to play 2 good games in a row.

Bon just said he believes there will be no goalie added. He also added if the Oilers get knocked out in the playoffs and it’s on the goaltending- there will be a significant shift in the offseason.

My question- why waste a playoff run? Make that change now

None of them should be around to make that decision if the above happens period.

pretty much every single insider said we were after a left defenceman.. so id say this pretty much proves they do know what the oilers plans were. Especially since the logical additions would have been 4RD, G, and top 6 wing, if you were just guessing without information.

Looks like goalie won't happen. Maybe If Skinner lets in 11 tonight that changes. Not sure 10 would be enough to break his immunity

its a huge stretch. Ekholm has been one of the best EV d in the league for a stretch, that player card has Walman at 36% for EV defence. Jfresh said hes poor on rush defence and another scouting report said all positive offensive stuff but that hes a turnover machine.

The fit doesnt seem ideal given the teams current weaknesses but ultimately he is a high quality player (especially offensively) so fit or no fit he'll be better than several of our other options which means we have improved as a team.

Still very worried about how our combination of RD + Goaltending is supposed to keep pucks out of the net against elite teams abd elite PPs.

And this is why any trade they make is futile and I have zero emotion for either of them. They’re going nowhere with this duo this season if they do f*** all with it. You could have the six d-men as in-prime Pronger, Lidstrom, Borque, Leetch, Chelios and Coffey but with this sock puppet in net, they’d still lose in the first round.

Jake Allen too, best idea I've heard in forever if he actually is available as some random Devils fan on here suggested.

Soderblom, Lyon, Talbot, Anton Forsberg, Merilainen, Ukka-Pekka...even give me James Reimer if this team has nothing else to trade and actually believes Skinner can magically improve.

I mean I was told a 5/6 LHD (walman will probably be our 5)

And a Middle six winger to play with Leon. The question is: Will Trent Fredric be the middle six winger? Or do we add a better winger

This is where we are at. I want to say we add a real winger now that this Kane BS is settled the way we thought it would be.

Unfortunately for most on here a goalie is off the table. (We can always dream)

Like I said, I heard the Oilers had some of their own Analytics that suggested their own goalies are playing better than the analytics we see.

This isn’t aimed at you as you’re the messenger so don’t take it the wrong way, but f*** analytics when it comes to goaltending. You either stop the puck or you don’t. You’re either agile and quick enough to read the play or you aren’t. You either make the saves you should or you don’t. Skinner is on the negative side of all three.

Just the bolded alone pisses me right off. What a shit excuse by the org if true. Save percentage and wins and losses, that’s what matters. Skinner has been shit all season, their analytics can be painted all up to look pretty but the stats don’t lie.
