Oilers should claim Reaves off waivers.

That is the one thing that would 100% turn me against this entire franchise. If they did exactly that.

He is the embodiment of a non-NHL player. And he counts against your cap for multiple seasons.

You're not relying on just Kane tho, you're relying on your best players. Those 2 just augment the dynamic

I could care less if they added Vasi and Hedman tomo...the Oilers aren't winning sh** if McD, Bouch, Ek, Hyman and Nuge continue to play like they have the last 2 months

We are playing very poorly right now (3-7 in our last ten, 13-10-1 since Jan 1st). How often do teams then turn it on the playoffs and win the Cup without major changes/additions?

Kane and Trent will be slotted into the middle 6. That will change how the Oilers play in the playoffs drastically

If Kane is fully healthy. He cannot even do two consecutive days of workouts right now. Assuming he will be the "old" Kane at any point is risky, never mind expecting it immediately. That can't be the plan.

The doom and gloom by some on here is kinda pathetic. It's like you want the team to fail, cuz you sure don't support them

It's called "realism". Pretending everything is great when it's not doesn't make you a good fan, in fact it's the opposite.

I have pretty low expectations for tomorrow. The team is currently trash so certain players might have second thoughts about coming here. There also seems to be slim pickings which will mean that teams will need to overpay significantly in order to build out their rosters. I predict we don’t see nearly as much movement compared to previous years.

Currently yes. It’s a slump. But the team is still very good. Work ethic has dropped off a cliff leading to bad turnovers and the already bad goaltending isn’t helping. If this team is moving their legs, there’s a reason why so many picked them to win the cup. I’m not worried in the sense that they won’t turn it around. But they need a starter to help guide them as well moving forward. Getting a save breeds confidence for the team. You hear it all the time from a player. “X was great back there. We know he will make the save allowing us to play our game”. No one on the team is saying that right now thats for sure. lol

No, it wouldn't at all. Carlo's best season pts wise was 19, and he was playing with 90+pt players he could pass to. Ekholm before here was 44, and multiple above 30, and how many 90pt players did he have on the preds to get some gimme pts?

Idgaf how good he is at defending if he is only ever gonna be defending because he can't get the puck out on a pair with Nurse. He would be looked at like Ceci within a year, and we would be trying to turf him for someone who can actually move the puck.
