Every playoff team that needs a 1 or 2 center would be calling about Spezza.

He's instant offense and incredibly cheap this year and next.

Phoenix, Anahiem, Dallas, Edmonton, Nashville, St.Louis, Minnesota, etc

Spezza gets to be a secondary guy on some of these teams... He'd crush

As bad as he's been this season he still has 23Pts in 28GP ... PPG potential for 2nd line money.

Yea but IF Spezza is regressing, his point totals may mean nothing if he keeps leting in twice as many with bad puck possession numbers.

Kesler has similar cap hit, good point totals and overall game. That trade could work for both teams.

No way dude. Canucks would never do that. Ever. Too much Kesler love over there.

Minnesota, Toronto, St. Louis, NY Rangers, Montreal, Vancouver, hell maybe even Washington, Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas and Wiinnipeg… I could see a bunch of those teams being interested in Spezza and no, they wouldn't all be trying to dump off their salary dumps for him

Phoenix, Dallas and Winnipeg all have prospects and players that I want. I hope you're right!

Yup. Definitely worth it to just keep him along. Only concern is if injuries add up.

Will be interesting to see how management views Spezza moving forward. Right now, the primary concern is if he is improving health wise, that will be instrumental going forward.

the sticky point is the NTC.

It's like a marriage gone stale. Spezza and the Sens need a divorce. It's been nice (seriously), but i can't take it anymore.

Where we're at with Spezza right now is where we were with Anderson last year. Time is now to do something, price will go down down down from here on in imo.

I would take him in an instant. Sens fans would ABSOLUTELY LOVE him.

But....do you honestly think Torts will let him go? And if he does, how long would it take before he tried to strangle Spezza? Can you imagine the sideshow that would happen in Vancouver when Spez does the no-look drop pass thing to the opposition for the 4th time in a game?

7 or 8 posts up on this thread, you'll see my answer to that question, before you asked it. ;)

I agree I can't see Spezza in Vancouver at all.....they have Henrik they don't need a pp specialist.

Hey MAK, I just noticed your old username was 19sens11

I assume the 19 was Spezza, when did your opinion on him turn sour and why?

i think it might have been a very traumatizing experience to make such love turn into such hate.

Maybe spezza is not the real spezza, but just an evil clone of the real spezza. Mandy could be the real spezza and is looking to take down his evil clone?

I did a quick regression analysis on Spezza's performance since 2005/06. His PPG have dropped steadily from 1.3 to 0.8 points per game. If this trend holds (aging + bad back), he will likely only be producing 0.5-0.6 PPG in 2 yrs. Meanwhile, his +/- per game has also been falling, from +0.3 per game in 2005/06 to -0.3 this year.

BOTTOM LINE: trade SPEZZA asap while he still has some value.

Trends 2005/06 to 2013/14
PPG +/- PG
1.32 0.34
1.30 0.28
1.21 0.34
0.89 -0.17
0.95 0.00
0.92 -0.11
1.05 0.14
1.00 0.60
0.82 -0.32

''General agreement or accord''. We've reached a consensus, and that includes average Joe fan that booes Spezza
