Abdelkader would be a good player for this team. I like Tatar, Sheahan, Jurco, Nyquist, Smith, Abdelkadar, Ferraro, Jarnkrok

I am not going point by point, but I think there is a consensus here.
We would love to have Perron here, but not at the expense of DZ. Good enough?

If Sauer were here and Healthy, I would do that deal though.

I don't know much other than the Wings have a lot of good aspects .. What would we specifically think about for Gaborik if we trade him? Which guys, etc.

I like Tatar, flashy skilled, good 2-way player. Jarnkrok looks to be a gem as well. Sheahan projects to be a 2nd/3rd line power forward center. Similar to Miller actually.

Smith has top pairing potential.

I don't know if you were being sarcastic, but, if we were to move Gaborik, assuming they aren't on his list of restricted teams, Ottawa would be a good fit.

I love Zibanejad. Loved him at draft time.

I would also try to pry Cody Ceci away from them. He's going to be really good. Legit two-way defenseman with high upside offensively, right-handed shot, big kid.

Gaborik + Thomas + 3rd

Zibanejad + Ceci + 2nd

In fantasy hockey land I'd trade Gaborik for a couple of really good young pieces and then use some of his money to get Corey Perry. Replenishes the young core a bit and keeps that second scorer. It won't happen though but it'd be awesome.
