I'm pretty sure Kadri won't be available at a descent price though. The whole league is seeing what he's doing. What price did you have in mind? The calgary 1st and a prospect? Which prospect?Trading for Kadri at a decent price is the way to go.
Then ship Matheson and Dach out of this country and find some Ds
I would love a blockbuster deal with Calgary this summer based around Kadri and Andersson from Calgary and Matheson, Dach picks and prospects from Mtl.Trading for Kadri at a decent price is the way to go.

Don't know what the defense looks like but damn that's an sexy forward lineup lolSlaf - Suzuki - Marner
Caufield - ROR - Demidov
Laine - Beck - Dach (kap)
Anderson - Evans - Gallagher
Newhook traded to make Cap work next season.
Laine $ earmarked for Hutson raise.
Anderson + Gally $ earmarked for Demidov.
Alot of work for KH to doDon't know what the defense looks like but damn that's an sexy forward lineup lol
I just can't see Marner signing here though.Alot of work for KH to do
but seems like a powerhouse to me
but the need a RH D man, so that will cost too and take away from the forward unit
I wish he wouldI just can't see Marner signing here though.
I don't have a problem with him like some, I just can't see him signing for a rival like that unless he absolutely is looking to stick it to the Leafs for some reason.I wish he would
lot's say he sucks in the playoffs sure, we see what he does this playoffs
90/100 guys are hard to come by
Yes. O’Reilly contract and Reinbacher ELC expiring at the same time. Can shift some there to bridge. Also, you have to wonder if Dach will be there long term.Alot of work for KH to do

yeah its all off the premise that they are tearing it down and he wants to go somewhere while they rebuild.I'm pretty sure Kadri won't be available at a descent price though. The whole league is seeing what he's doing. What price did you have in mind? The calgary 1st and a prospect? Which prospect?
I'm not sure Calgary will want to trade him though. Perhaps their GM will see this as a sell high opportunity to get out of his contract.
It does fit, assuming Marner at around 13 and ROR at his full 4.5.a quick eye test tells me there's no way that would fit under the cap
Would be cool though lol

I find it hard to believe that he’s unsigned because of a disagreement over 1 million or so.Why wouldn't Marner just get 13 from Toronto?
After the way the team and fans treated him, I'd be shocked if he still wants to stay there.I find it hard to believe that he’s unsigned because of a disagreement over 1 million or so.
I think he might want out.

I’d say Draisaitl money is the max for him.If Marner does move on from Toronto, with the cap going up to $95.5 next season, then projected to go up to $104 million in 2026-27, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got offers above $14 million making him the highest paid player by AAV next season.
With the cap materially increasing in the years to come the negotiation conversations will shift from dollar amounts to cap percentages when comparing to other players in contract discussions. Not fair to look at dollar value when cap goes up 20% anymore as it’s no longer apples to apples comps. If Marner does move on from Toronto, with the cap going up to $95.5 next season, then projected to go up to $104 million in 2026-27, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got offers above $14 million making him the highest paid player by AAV next season.
