Lol no come on that's a no brainer. We should learn from the PLD scenario. I think even I was against Anderson+Gallagher for PLD, which is laughable when looking back at it.

Yeah. In hindsight that was a real buy low candidate who actually wanted to play in Montreal. Had size and would have solved the 2C issue. That said, PLD comes with so much baggage. Who knows which PLD you'll get if he checks out in 2-3 years.

Would be our 2nd best goal scorer and a fine 2C right now for us.

If we sign Rantanen, that means Laine needs to get traded. There is no room with CC/Slaf/Rantanen/Demidov. I also can't justify giving him 14x7 given his performance outside of Colorado.

He was really poor in the playoffs for them last year too. Nichushkin looks like the better player for sure.

Nischushkin has some deep issues but he's a hell of a player. Basically a 6'4" Lehkonen.

No they wont trade him. But given their C depth they may not sign him either. Trade for him after the season ends. A mid round pick i would guess.
