I said it fervently last year, you should've traded Savard when his value was at it's highest last TDL. Now you'll be lucky to get a 3rd....
Anderson
Savard.

If Rantanen isn't willing to accept a sign and trade anywhere, then even a return as good as Laine could be out of reach. They screwed themselves over with the Necas trade. If they trade Rantanen for Laine as the main piece they need to relocate
Brayden Schenn has a full NTC and would never waive to come to a non contender....plus he will be 34 this summer with 3 more years left on his contract. Our targets should be Cozens, B. Schenn and other high end 2c's with our excess players and picks,
Something like one of the 1st's + Engstrom and Kapanen.
something along those lines
It's just asset management. At what point does an asset have the highest value and is it more valuable to you than it would fetch in an exchange.Matheson
Anderson
Savard.
This is most definitely not a buyer's market lolThink of all the trades they could be making now in this market - definitely a buyers market
If it was 2022 sure…. It’s not rebuild is OVER, that’s just the reality owner wants to make $, players want to make the playoffs. It's just asset management. At what point does an asset have the highest value and is it more valuable to you than it would fetch in an exchange.
Excluding Matheson, the other two are cases of poor asset management.
You trade Matheson say goodbye to this team being remotely competitive this year
Because it’s a shit draft cuvée..This is most definitely not a buyer's market lol
Please follow the conversation. I'm not talking about trading them now......If it was 2022 sure…. It’s not rebuild is OVER, that’s just the reality owner wants to make $, players want to make the playoffs.
Time for the throttle push towards playoffs & taking Make Beliefs out in the 1st round
Seattle is selling.

They wont. It'd be like another team saying they should target Suzuki. It's a pointless conversation to have. Why would Seattle trade Berniers ?
Are we gonna get all the underachievers of the 2019 or what? Dach, Newhook…now we’re asking for Cozens or ZegrasI think it's time to trade for Zegras, make it happen KH!! I think he would be a solid fit here on the 2nd line. He needs a change of scenery and some of our guys are close to him!
No it is not. This is most definitely not a buyer's market lol
Almost, but not quite. They wont. It'd be like another team saying they should target Suzuki. It's a pointless conversation to have.
Why would they move Berniers?Seattle is selling.

Two straight years at or below .5ppg, no notable injuries. His big season (57pts) had him riding a 16.2% shooting percentage which is not unreasonable but also not sustainable. If they don't see development, they may want to cash out before his contract is seen as a burden and his value plummets. Comparable to Cozens' situation but younger. Why would Seattle trade Berniers ?
his hockey bag stinks and his teammates are complaining. Why would Seattle trade Berniers ?

Definitely more correct than not, but not throwing out Josh Anderson when he had the chance was a big mistake. Hughes has made his share of mistakes and now comes the fun part -- he will continue to make mistakes but as long as things are developing, it should be fine. You should think of a team as “product development” rather than “portfolio management”.
