Assuming we trade out Evans and Armia even possibly Savard who’s filling those spots within the organization? Just out of Curiosity

Washington is the best fit to trade Evans/Armia in my eyes. They have the best assets that could interest us
Let's throw Matheson (50% retained), Evans and Armia for Hutson.

Wishful thinking at its best.

Beck and Heineman in PK, you brings some plugs from Laval, pain.

I'm of the opinion that the Habs don't have anyone within the organization that is ready to step into Evans' spot. There is Beck and Hage, but they are years away from reaching Evans' level. I believe they will eventually be better than Evans. But if Evans is traded this week, no one is ready to step in.

Armia, I don't feel the same way about. He's playing well. But I believe that they have big bodied wingers who can step into 4th line roles from within. I'm looking at Tuch and Florian. And even if just smaller, I believe Davidson can step in next year.

I know it would be a bit strange to trade with a team you are chasing but I wouldn’t mind squeezing Rasmussen as a Evans replacement

We need to replace Dvorak (pacing under 30pts) and Evans (pacing under 40pts with a 20% shooting percentage). Both are important defensively and on the PK. Neither are a 2C or any type of elite specialist. I’m not feeling confident with the playoff push and you’re correct that we’ve got very little to end the year if Evans is moved.

Kapanen and Beck are ready to go for next year. Both should play in the NHL. I’m confident they can perform in bottom-6 roles and provide comparable production over the season. They might even be an improvement. Kapanen is an experienced pro player at this point and is solid defensively. Beck is already showing he belongs in the NHL and will almost definitely fill a role on the PK. If it’s necessary, Suzuki is a solid option for the PK as well. It’s not ideal and picking up an experienced veteran C as a 13th forward might be smart, but it’s where we’re at as a team if we want to give young players their opportunity. No different than the defence the last couple years.

We don’t have a 2C and Evans isn’t and hasn’t been a suitable fill in. We already have the guys to replace Evans and Dvorak in bottom-6 roles. In my opinion, replacing Evans is already done. Now we need to find a solid 2C

That is weird. RHD is the last thing Flames need. They have Andersson, Weegar, Pachal, Miromanov and prospects like Parekh or Brusztewicz.
Andersson isnt as good as people here think he is. He also has 1 year left after this one, so it could be acquire Carlo for 5 bucks, sell Andersson for 8 bucks and then sell Carlo for 4 bucks when Parekh, or Bru is ready.

How come randomly random people get insight into things ?

Was it free agency, or last year's trade deadline when the Twitter user shay something who only posted clips and I think wrote articles started posting all these rumours that turned out.

Majority of these clowns are all just clickbait

My biggest fear is that Hughes is blinded by the recent success and does not acquire more assets for Evans. We aren't in a position to contend and we must follow the plan. He tried to "speed up" the process twice by acquiring Dach and Newhook and it didn't turn out great. As long as we have Bergevin's garbage still on the team, we should be sellers.

Can Robinson is a former amateur scout, editor for Dobber prospects and lead content guy for Elite Prospects now … he’s well connected w NHL scouting community not some “random people”

What is more assets though? The habs don’t really need more 2nd round picks and B prospects. They need roster players that can play in top 6
