It’s been in a very alarming state of “Be a GM mode” for a while now.

I think we would all love to see a trade that shakes the team, and makes it better going forward, asap........the playoffs look like they are in the rear view window now, but next year is huge for this group.

I really don’t like the Slaf pick or how he was handled and frankly I don't have faith in his upside as a reliable impact player but unless he’s openly defying the coaches and also is partying to a degree that indicates """character issues""" there’s no way it is a good idea to trade him away right now... unless he's a terrible character AND the other party is in love with him and wants him badly.

Pretty much what I've been saying, HuGo will be looking more at hockey trades rather than simply sell for draft picks. And in those types of trades, it would take more than just those who will be UFA's. It'll include either a current roster player who might have some years left on their deal or a prospect or two.

That is what he will want we need players who are a little further advanced in their development.
If we take picks he will defer them for a year or even two. I'd love for him to be able to pull off a hockey trade to fill any one of our gaping holes but the reality is those deals are usually off season transactions.

I'm a father of five with a professional career, I don't know how you find the time to do that, write so many good posts, and play games.

I'd love to play Age of Empires, but I fear if I started I'd lose my job and CPS would take my kids.

I dont think I'd have time to do much with 3 kids, nevermind 5. Having a stay at home wife helps quite a bit.

Pretty good reason to cut Dach loose imho. They should be looking at Duchene seriously for a mentor role. We kinda messed up by not considering it for Monahan, We need a vet who can drag his ass into professional habits, that's just not Dach.

I'm not sure that's Laine either.

Not sure if the habs would deal with the bruins, but that is a team that is entering a rebuild and desperate for futures. Carlo is a top 4 RD that could ne available, for centers it doesn't look that great but maybe Coyle could be the stopgap some are looking for.

I'd be fine with the 1st, but wouldn't make it conditional. Detroit is getting the players, if they don't make the playoffs it won't be because of Evans and Armia.

...cuz Lou likes his Defensive Forwards...could it be in the realm of possibility that we sell him on Evans (extended) + Armia (extended or not) + 1st 2025 (Calgary's or ours; I'd rather Calgary's) + for Dobson??...I'd rather go for a Top 6 C first, but options seem to be limited atm...
