I'd do it but I wonder how much value rival GMs would value Bog. He feels like a throw in with 3rd/4th round value even if we think/know he's worth moreDach + Bogdan

I don’t think he’s worth more then that personallyI'd do it but I wonder how much value rival GMs would value Bog. He feels like a throw in with 3rd/4th round value even if we think/know he's worth more

I've been saying since the beginning of the good sequence that our vets mostly suck. Yeah i can see why some fans thought the vets were responsible for the good sequence as they were playing well and our fanbase has been brainwashed over the years by RDS to think that young = bad and vets = good.Whole team went sideways after Heiny got hurt.
shows how weak this team is right now for depth. to rely on Pezz, shows KH needs to shore this team up
Davidson needs a chance
Would be interesting to trade Dach at the deadline in order to tank harder and take advantage of the market. Plenty of teams would consider him for their THIRD line and maybe even pay for the potential upside.I'd trade Dach. He's just not getting the center position at all. He's so so bad defensively. I'd give him the rest of the year & trade him at the draft.
Music to my ears. Basically what we were all hearing: if the team was in a playoff spot, they wouldn't sell -- if they're not in the playoff spot, they will sell. Before March 7, Kent Hughes would be interested in making a trade that he would make in June. If the Canadiens add [a player] to their roster in a major way or at least something semi-significant, that's something we would be comfortable doing for the following seasons." - Pierre LeBrun
The Canadiens management never got lost in the ups and downs of this year, we really kept our [long-term] vision. The only thing is that short-term wins and losses still have an impact on the Joel Armia, Jake Evans, David Savard and Christian Dvorak files. It's sure that it can have an impact on these players before March 7." - Pierre LeBrun
Dach + ? for MichkovI'd trade Dach. He's just not getting the center position at all. He's so so bad defensively. I'd give him the rest of the year & trade him at the draft.
Philadelphia is desperate for centers, so maybe we can use him for their 1st round pick this year if it's top 10, which it should be.
Resign Evans, and come back next year with Suzuki, Kapanen, Beck & Evans. We need a stop gap centre until Hage is ready. I'm not sure Kapanen & Beck are top 6 C.
It would be really, really helpful if we could draft Misa as I think he can step into the #2C spot right away.
Hagens should go back to college for another year like Cooley, but imo, he's only a year away.
Agreed. And while Laine is no defensive wizard I would like to see him play center at some point just to see if he can be an upgrade to Dach. Those of us who have seen all Laine's games as a center already know that he would be.I'd trade Dach. He's just not getting the center position at all. He's so so bad defensively. ...if people think Dach is bad a C, wait til they see Controller Disconnected at C...it would be like just not having a C there defensively for the entire shift...Agreed. Laine has been good at that position. Both his center stints have been cut short though, at Columbus due to an injury, and at Jets due to.. umm, well lets just say he was not yet ready for the complete center game, even though he played well.
Dach isn't a C, but he can be a useful W. he's got size, spd and some skills. His board play is improving and he's got an edge in his play that I like. He's still not at 100%. He's a fail experiment at C, but I have given up on him as a useful player. Heck, I would want to see him back on a line with CC and Suzuki at some point this season.... Slaf is borderline useless right now.I'd trade Dach. He's just not getting the center position at all. He's so so bad defensively. I'd give him the rest of the year & trade him at the draft.

I mean they where only 3 games yesterday and scouts are paid to actually attend NHL gameIs this a good or a bad thing?
It’s good for the fans who like to speculate about trades. Is this a good or a bad thing?
The more I think about it, the more I think that Hughes is going to be hunting around very hard for a 2C this TDL and Draft/FA period.
I think it's becoming apparent that we don't have anyone fit for that position, and there isn't anyone in the pipeline that can arrive soon enough and with enough certainty to make an impact. I don't think we can walk into next season with a giant question mark at 2C again. It would probably mean we miss the playoffs again.
I'm not sure Cozens is the answer, myself, but it is interesting to think about.
Can’t stand watching him do a loop around the opponents net when the puck is already in our zoneI'd trade Dach. He's just not getting the center position at all. He's so so bad defensively. I'd give him the rest of the year & trade him at the draft.

In Laine's current shape and form I agree, it wouldnt work. But when he is back in shape I wouldnt rule it out in case we strike out on all possible 2C upgrade options....if people think Dach is bad a C, wait til they see Controller Disconnected at C...it would be like just not having a C there defensively for the entire shift...![]()
Yes, yes, but what about Laine? How can we circle this back to Laine? Can’t stand watching him do a loop around the opponents net when the puck is already in our zone
Well this is the Laine-thread, so the haters/lovers will return back to Laine organically.Yes, yes, but what about Laine? How can we circle this back to Laine?![]()
If they can get a physically engaged, legitimate 2C this summer then I stand by the opinion that our 2nd line could be more dangerous than our 1st line next season.Luckily for Laine with Demidov in his line there is much more time to get into perfect shooting positions, as Demi is the kind of guy who enjoys taking shifty long routes in the offensive zone when he has the puck there. Laine can even stop for a quick Fortnite-match on his way to the offensive zone.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. I know he doesn't have a perfect track record, but he definitely has connections in the New York sports market.
