I think Granlund gets at least a 2nd or a decent prospect.

I'd take JT Miller before Pettey, thank you very much.

I think we might even trade him as a duo with Evans. Team like MIN has terrible PK and these two would be immediate fix.
Armia 50% retained + Evans could give us solid value.

Kind of hope it's a 1st round pick. Having three 1st round pick next draft would put us in a very good position to be agressive right when we want to start to be agressive.

Regardless of which team, I'd ask for next year or the year afterwards. We have 2 1st in this one, and it doesn't really look that strong to begin.

According to Bob M, the first waive is top 8 and there is another drop around 15-20 range. We are right in the mix of that 2nd drop area. Habs pick should be 10-15 range and Flames pick should be 14-20 range.

He also said 2nd rounders in this draft is usually 3rd rounders in the typical draft.

I agree. Unless they think they can re-sign him as a stop gap, 2 to 3 year deal. Though I think that is unlikely.

Ok, but I think you can get him with retention. We still need to be careful of not having huge salaries.

My advise is to not talk or use words like "player worth or values" at a TDL. Supply/Demand is a huge factor at TDL's and it varies season to season.

The other layer to this is the draft drop in talent. Bob M has recently said that there is a drop around 8 and then another around 15-20 range. He said 2nd rounders in this draft will be your typical 3rd rounders.

For this reason, you will see more late 1st and 2nd rounders traded.

2. needs to know how to win a faceoff
3. needs to know how to pass to PL and Demi with accurately
4. needs to have a edge and play huge
5. needs to be a hard nose smart player, with heart

Yeah, except Dvorak isn't worth a 2nd in any draft at this point.

Armia getting a projected late 2nd maybe as he's a big body with nice hands and a good pker.

Savard is definitely better than a 5th.

Don't want either. EP will cost Suzuki and big no for that. Miller should cost less but our team has been building it's chemistry and the young guys lead while supported by our few vets. I get the impression Miller will roll in here and play alpha dog, and we don't need that. Buffalo should go for Miller
