I get the impression Miller will roll in here and play alpha dog, and we don't need that. Buffalo should go for Miller

I think it's time to throw in the towel and explore the possibilities of selling Savard, Armia, Dvorak and Pez. Not sure if Evans can be re-signed at a discount, but if he's asking for the moon, then sell high. Gallagher, Matheson, Dach, and Anderson can also be thrown in there. Stockpile on picks and prospects, draft well. That Slaf extension will hurt.

Anderson / Dvorak / Gallagher is one of the better 5/5 lines in the NHL in terms of goals scored/60. Dvorak doesn't put up much offense but he does a lot of boring stuff out there that has value. Not a bad guy to have if it's another year on a value contract. Heck, even if he was one of the 13th or 14th forwards. Better to have someone like this as an extra forward vs one of our youth that don't play games.



So you are going to complain if he comes back on a $1M contract and we either use him with Anderson and Gallagher again or he is the 13th or 14th forward? Come on man. The Anderson / Dvorak / Gallagher line is underrated. Overpaid yes but underrated to some degree.

That line has a 42.9% goal share, actually the only one of Montreal's current main 5 on 5 lines (>150 mins together) to have a goals % under 50. You may be thinking of xg, but the only reason that's in the positive is because of Gallagher, who has always been an xg god because he fires literally every puck on net. He's had one season since his rookie year in which he had more goals than xg. XG are unfortunately a worthless stat for any line that Gallagher is on.
