Seider is one of the best RHD in the league.
LHD are easier to find.
Can't move HudsonLHD are easier to find.....but LHD or RHD like Hutson are impossible to find.
There's like 5 or 6 other defensemen in that category.
It's a really big hard pass for me......Seider might tremendous as a 2way D, but I take Hutson's creativity and IQ everyday. Hutson is an offensive play driver and it doesn't matter which forward is on the ice with him. He makes everyone around him better offensively and that is worth more than Seider.
I mean we are 7-3 in the games Pezzetta has played, so not exactly a top priority need. What habs need to finish the season is a better #13 forward (than Pezz) who can step up and help in case of injuries.
Plus a vet-D, a RHD if possible as a #7-#8 d-man.
There is no point of making that trade but If I had the choice between Hutson or Seider, I would probably go with Seider. He brings more on the table, especially in the playoffsHutson is from Detroit.
Let's say he wants to go there.
Would you guys do

Has he been in a Playoffs yet ? If so, what did he bring ?There is no point of making that trade but If I had the choice between Hutson or Seider, I would probably go with Seider. He brings more on the table, especially in the playoffs

Who really knows ? The kid has surpassed already my expectations. He knows darn well how to play vs bigger opponents. His style is better fit for the playoffs
Size or style ?
Not to mention his "style" has been successful in the playoffs in recent years. One even has a Conn Smythe.Who really knows ? The kid has surpassed already my expectations. He knows darn well how to play vs bigger opponents.
If Hutson ends up being a top 5 powerplay QB in the league in his prime then he'd be worth his weight in gold in the playoffs. Having hot special teams in the playoffs is the 2nd best thing you can wish for behind a hot goaltender.
Both, physical 2 way Dmen are usually a successful key in the playoffs, more than a small offensive Dmen. Just look at Quinn Hughes last year
I'd personally have him top 5 as well, I'm not sure if that'd be a common opinion league wide though. He already is a top 5 PP QB.....
Hutson is not from Detroit he grew up in a suburb of Chicago.Hutson is from Detroit.

We have one of the most cerebral defensemen in the league, who would light up a fMRI scan if there were a test for hockey sense, nay hockey intelligence since this goes way beyond "sense", but let's explore trading him away based on a measuring tape. Lunacy.People on this site are insane.
