I can see it!

Offer him 3 years at a discount he would take like maybe 8/year and watch him win his last Stanley Cup in his career with the Montreal Canadiens on his last contract year and then retires in a habs jersey!

And Demidov wins his first cup and wins the MVP.

As one one would say..

"Cool story bruh!" 😎

Montreal could have around 25 mil in cap space next season (not including putting Price on LTIR). Its more realistic and plausible that Montreal offers a 1 or 2 year deal at a crazy AAV that Pittsburgh and Colorado can't match. Alternatively, poach Rantanen.

I doubt Boston waives him, but if they did Beecher would be a good pickup for the 4th line. Can play C or wing, has good size, hits, solid defensively and good at faceoffs.

Lots of interesting names there. I guess it depends if our pro scouting know who is salvagable. Tale as old as time, hockey players 'bust' because of the wrong development/deployment/system/random circumstance

Crazy! Savoie was recent high pick. What are Sabres doing?
They have like 6 smol skilled prospects like that...can't bring them all to your top 6, but very meh return.

Just take BPA and trade them later crowd just took a hit.
also the 'every small skilled guy in junior is gonna be a star' crowd.

Or how about when the puck hit the linesmen and he stopped playing to give him shit, and the other team scored? There's plenty to talk about him when it comes to turnovers as well.
That’s the game I truly turned on him….i had never seen anything so stupid in hockey, to just stop playing to argue of all things….he was literally pulling a 5yr old tantrum

If Askarov is really available, I'd be all over that.

Fowler/Askarov in the pipeline would be awesome.

Gally needs Newhook's speed. He looked much better with him than anyone in the last 3 seasons.

It's the reason he was great with Pacioretty, too then Plekanec. Their speed opens up the ice for him. He can sneak in behind their rush and find open ice. He's shit when he plays with Dvorak, who lacks speed as well. It becomes a grind line.
