that lies the issueSame is true for Utah, though.
Why did Edmonton let him go ? They lost some very promising prospects in the last few years.Kesselring is the guy to get, would fix our RD issue for the next decade

Why the other vet D as depth? You don't trust Struble?
Rein is still a big ifNot that I don’t trust, I don’t think he’s that good. Vet D depth always comes in handy. Overall, I’m not impressed with thier D youth outside of Lane, Guhle, and Rein. The rest are all blah.
Yep. They have to improve the D core this summer by adding quality vets if they want any chance of being in the mix.Rein is still a big if
agree they need a right-handed shotYep. They have to improve the D core this summer by adding quality vets if they want any chance of being in the mix.
So this scenario you proposed doesn’t really happen basically ever
And this^ is why the Montreal hockey media is dead.. quite frankly, HF is far more a reality than anything LaPresse or The Gazette could publish. On that note, in a recent article published on The Athletic website, several NHL journalists came together to propose realistic transactions for each of the 32 teams, in anticipation of the trade deadline.
It was Arpon Basu, a journalist assigned to covering the Canadiens' activities, who took charge of this exercise to represent the Montreal organization.
Here is his proposal:
In Montreal: David Spacek
In Minnesota: Joel Armia
Probably waive Primeau when Fowler signs. Dobes or Hughes called upDobes needs to play, and the AHL is where that will happen. Hughes is fine, but we risk missing out on a real solution. G have been traded already, and the options are slim. We can't keep playing Monty every game. I also understand you dont think chicago has interest. Keep repeating it. The fact is, we need a proper 2G. We didnt bring in a vet D for nothing. Management wants to see progress and wants to support the kids.
He small. I would try for Marrelli instead. Watched Generals game, he's got a chance. Chesley try to get also.On that note, in a recent article published on The Athletic website, several NHL journalists came together to propose realistic transactions for each of the 32 teams, in anticipation of the trade deadline.

We didn’t acquire an anchor contract, the discussion is about a proposed and hypothetical extension. My point is there hasn’t really been the case the Habs have really ever acquired a player who (1) came with great hype and fanfare and (2) had an anchor contract that ever got in the way.Not sure how you get from a to b there but if we only want to keep it habs related and the question is to give a recent example, I don't think we have to look too far back. See what has been said in the Laine threads with respect to a contract extension.
Arpon Basu is like a barnacle. After all these years he’s incredibly bad at his job, I don’t think he even really understands the athletic and sporting dynamics of hockey. On that note, in a recent article published on The Athletic website, several NHL journalists came together to propose realistic transactions for each of the 32 teams, in anticipation of the trade deadline.

That said, not sure if that’s a bad trade or not. We’ve heard good things about Spacek Jr… hope he is more fit than his father.
Minnesota absolutely says noOn that note, in a recent article published on The Athletic website, several NHL journalists came together to propose realistic transactions for each of the 32 teams, in anticipation of the trade deadline.
