There is no way to know yet. If d are in short supply at the trade deadline a team really needing help could offer more than he is worth.
Teams would rather pay 2nd for Struble because he is better, cheaper and worth extension. That would need to be some crazy scenario where there are couple injuries in the team and trade targets A&B are out of game already.

Contenders would have no interest in Struble at the deadline. They would want a proven veteran.

Getting JT Miller out of Vancouver would solve our center ice for a long time. Realistically not sure what it would take. Maybe Guhle, our pick top 5 protected, and Dach or Newhook.
No thanks. I'm interested in addition at the 2C role. But not by that level of subtraction.

Seek out a UFA. Hope Hage develops. Draft Misa or Hagens or Desnoyers.

No interest in that trade.

Evans will be interesting to contenders so it's very unlikely you're going to get a bigger fish.

I'm not talking about those TDL trades where you get picks for a player. I'm talking about including Evans with a few other pieces to get a bigger player. A player a team would be interested to depart with cause perhaps they don't think they can re-sign him.

Trading upcoming FA for upcoming FA isn't that much of a common occurrence.

If Dach is goin to be traded for a RD, the following needs to happen:

1. Play a full healthy season
2. Produce as a 2C
3. Kapanen emerges as an option, and Hage continues his production in the NCAA

1 and 2 are needed to build his value. This would be an offseason move.
If Dach produces as a 2C, odds are he won’t get moved.

However, what can be had for Newhook? 💀

Newhook's best season is 34 points in 55 games. Just last season.
Dach's best season is 38 points in 58 games. Two seasons ago.

Why do people act like one is more likely to come out of this funk than the other?

Yes, Dach is coming off an injury, but they said he was healed and was ready to go at the end of last season. Maybe he never recovers.

He's signed for another 5 years, perfect for our window.

Also - at my age 5 years is an eternity :naughty:
And it might be for that contrract if he is done in 2.

It's not the injury. It's getting over the fear of getting hurt again,
