Have to ask a Calgary fans what the price for R. Andersson?

Does Matheson + Picks/prospect work? Calgary first round pick this year +?

We can't have 4 dman under 24 years old playing in the top 4.
Hutson and Andersson will be great Duo. It would also put Guhle at his natural position, It also give Reinbacher time to develop with out rushing him to our #2.

Not sure if Calgary would want Matheson but if not, you use the picks you get for Matheson and add it to Calgary’s 1st and Mailloux. I think we could get a late 1st for Matheson so at the end it would be :

Late 1st
Calgary’s 1st
Mailloux

If Calgary’s pick is early ten’s, I think they bite but if the pick is later, it might not be enough.

Vancouver is not rebuilding.
Even if your trade is maybe fair value wise, it's not what they're looking for.
They'd want players that help them win now.

I wouldn’t sell the farm to fix both issues through trades. First reason is because I think our 2025 and 2026 1sts should not be traded and I’m pretty sure Reinbacher is untouchable for now.

I’d draft our center with our 1st pick and fill the top 4 RHD with a big trade this summer.

We don't know if it's because of pricing, availability or he's simply a misfit. I don't know how they could make a move to patch up their D, not without moving some vets first. Forward-wise, I just see Evans and Newhook with some value to make an immediate move. Dach is cooked for the season.

I can see a fit with Matheson in VAN and Desharnais in MTL. Desharnais fills Savard’s role as a bottom pairing, defence-first, local character guy. He could also take some of the heat off Xhekaj where fighting is concerned. Matheson at %50 makes it an easy add cap-wise for VAN.

I’m not a big fan of Willander and I don’t see a good fit for Lekkerimaki. Build the deal around a 1st round pick + Desharnais and there could be something there.

Rutherford afterall was the one to acquire Matheson from Fla as GM of Pens

Make it the 2026 1st so Matheson has enough time to steer Vancouver into a tank

Desharnais? He plays less than Barron. A tank move for sure if that's it.
