CC is no more than a wonderful accessory. Similar to Debrincat. Small, soff, point getter, but invisible come playoffs. Accept it. Truth. He creates nothing *ever.

Why on earth shouod Les Glorieux be enamored with a midget one timer? Why?
You should watch the games instead of making stuff up.

Ironically, it was Treliving failing to see what he had in Tkachuk at 22-23 (when Tkachuk wanted to sign a long term extension and BT wanted another year to assess) that led to him being available...

And BT betting on an established vet who has absolutely cratered his value since.

I'm happy we have CC locked in long term through his prime at a cap hit he's already earning production/impact wise. If/when he hits his actual prime, it will be a steal of a cap hit... not a piece you trade short of a massive overpayment
But hos contribution is "only" a snipe. That's it, that's all, everything.. when and how much (thruthfully) has CC ever shown when he is on the ice, the competition is scared?

Everyone welcome to roast me.. i maintain - we gotta trade CC for equivalent value at RD. Now is the time. Hes off to a strong start, asset management. We will be selecting another legit top 6 pick this year.

Our core is NOT Suzuki and CC. It is infact: Slaf, Demidov, Guhle, hutson, Reinbacher, Mailloux.

CC is a nice accessory piece, but he is ridiculously 1 dimensional. He creates nothing. Sorry to all the fans who actually have an affinity or mental attachment.. i on the otherhand could care less - similar to Zito with Huberdeau.

I'm fine with moving a winger for an equivalent C or RD, but I don't think there's much basis for who you're claiming is or isn't core. I'm also curious what team you're trading your one dimensional accessory to for a young top-pairing RD?

Lmfao the opposite players need to be “scared” now? It’s the NHL, nobody is scared of anyone.

And anyways which RD do you have in mind to trade for Caufield?

People need to stop posting garbage. We don't even know yet what Dach and Newhook will be.
Dach is just getting started and Newhook has never played with 2 decent linemates.
Let me just say this, when Koivu, Markov, Subban, Paciorettt, Caufield came into the league, it didn’t take long to realize they were going to be special players. Dach and Newhook haven’t show this.
Why did Chicago gave up this quick on Dach? Ask yourself this question.

Maybe some of us know our hockey better.

He's on pace for 52 goals this year, had 37 assists last year, and he is 23 years old & 5'8 175lbs

He's also very competitive, and played great in the one nhl playoff run he went on, as a rookie.

He's not at his peak yet, in every facet of the game. His floor in non-sniping parts of the game will only go up as he hits his prime. His coach is MSL, literally the best example of playing winning hockey as a diminutive player...

I think you underestimate his ceiling as an overall contributor.

Did you not watch last year, when he took his playmaking to another level? Calm down
Play making? Wth are you on about? CC is not now, or ever, a "play maker". Hes a sniper, end of.

Has to be to a contender for their prized "A+ prospect" not a project.. thats the current asset value CC is..

Dach has no drive, I can see him gone by the end of his contract. Newhook is a 3rd liner who doesn’t do anything exceptional.

Neither of these guys bring anything to the lineup. In fact, if they called up any two guys from Laval, they would get better effort and probably equal results on the score sheet.

Not the best use of 1st round picks.

Id trade CC for Jiricek straight up rn. Give me the stud Rd and push Reinbacher/mailloux down the depth chart. When the time comes we can move a RHD for a needed piece which holds far more value than CC rn.

I dont agree, but clearly im in the minority.. he's so friggin predictable, my drunk arse knows exactly what he is going to do every time he has the puck. He is so easy to contain it's embarrassingly easy to defend against him. Just sell him off already, while he still has legit value.

Okay so you didn't watch. Thanks for letting us know
Watch what? He does nothing, game in game out - sure he snipes a beauty here and there... outside that nada..

It's the same fans (year after year) who got mad at me when i wanted to swap CC for Laff.. and now, no way.. hockey is a business.. the players (by in large) and their Agents care 0% about the team. Stop caring about these guys, they are making 1000x that of a normal person. They dont care about you.. at all, not even close.

So we trade CC for a RD.
But when we'll be ready to trade a RD, we can acquire a piece that has far more value than CC.

The question now becomes if a young RD can return a piece which holds far more value than CC, why would that team not just trade their young RD for said piece themselves?

Also no, I wouldn't trade Caufield for Jiricek, unless Columbus adds a lot.

Markov and Pacioretty took awhile but I get what you are saying.

Dach and Newhook are 2019 drafted players. We should be seeing something out of them right now. I like them both but it's been a frustrating season.

Something needs to happen "right f***ing now"!!!!

A young, top 2 RHD stud who has been mishandled is the only reason this trade would be available, if he hit his stride he would be untouchable. Jiricek has far more value to the Habs (in Laval) than CC on the Habs.

I liked Jiricek in his draft year, but I think we should wait to get a better player.

We will have the assets to do it when the time comes.

At some point, it didn't go well for Max and he was sent down. He was so pissed that when he returned he had a drive and became the top player that he got known for. Maybe that's what they need to do with Dach.

But when Dach joined us, he was good. Esp. when they paired him with CC and Suz. But he got injured and he has sucked this season. He just stopped being physical, he's not being himself. That's why we need a hard ass coach to make him realise this.

You're completely wrong on both Pacioretty and Markov. Both had to be sent down and a lot of people and posters here thought Pacioretty would be a bust, until he asked to be sent down and lit it up with Desharnais in the AHL. Markov took off in his third season, but had a really tough year in 2003-2004 after his father's death. Lots of players take time. Chicago let Strome go the same year as Dach and he's become a great player for Washington. Newhook isn't going to be special, but he can become a serviceable and versatile player with time. Dach, we still don't know what we have as he's missed so much time, but he looked like a legitimate top 6 player before the injury.
