That's more indicative of how much this team sucks.
thats how you can see it i guess, people seem to like to shit on gally alot for no reason, again its mostly his salary that people don't like.

What were you trying to say then ? He's a bad player.
i said hes one of the only guys his gives effort and plays hard every game, hes tied for SECOND in scoring on the team right now im not saying anything that isnt fact, this isnt a arguement lo.l

But nothing you've said makes him a good player, or even average.

No reason? You haven’t watched him play the past 4 years? There’s a lot of reason to shit on him and it’s not only because of his salary.

? he makes 2.5m-3m more than he should be again not his fault,he plays 3rd-4th line doesnt really make him bad you just have a bias and thats fine theres isnt going to be any way for me to get you to change your mind.

Literally all i said was hes tied for second on the team in goals and i like the way he plays the game, never said he was the Goat or anything like that lol.

its mostly his salary and his injury history again if you dont like him thats fine i just pointed out a fact when someones acting like hes the worst guy on the team which just isn't true at all.

No, he makes 6.5 more than he should make because he's not a NHL player.

You are clearly a victim of recency bias.

Somewhere on earth in a hospital
As Much Gallagher tries , he wouldn't be in my top 12 roster in a playoff game

Edit: I just think his body cant follow the game like he used to. Type of player you should have let go instead of signing. Tampa Did it with Stamkos , sometimes you gotta let go.

like i said you don't like the guy and thats fine, but when hes healthy he can contribute to the team on and off the ice which you won't agree with but its just fact and that isn't arguable anyway not asking him to be put in the top 6,hell im ok with him being on the 4th line.

your not going to change my mind and im not going to change yours which your making very clear.
but hes not going anywhere untill his contract his up anyway so it is what it is.

And Gordie Howe was an NHLer for 34 years, yet neither player are NHLers anymore. Pretty simple matter here. Do you have the right to vote ?
that was certainly a 180 if ive ever seen one, yes i do have a right too wondering how that at all has anything to do with brenden gallagher being NHL Caliber or not though.

all I've learned about this conversation is you don't think a guy belongs in the Nhl yet is performing at a NHL level on a NHL team thats all i really needed to know.

i really dont care for bias's especially when its not warranted at the time, what happens if he continues to play well will it be 'we'll see in another month!'? seems like a waste of time to converse about a topic you think your right on.

Im not saying Gallagher isn't trying/still being productive.

I'm saying he's 2nd, or tied for second because the team around him sucks, or rather just isn't playing well.

Not really... Just means more guys will get penalized, tossed and/or suspended
If a hit to the head is always a game, then you might as well take hitting out.

Game is fast and you can't always ensure you're not going to make head contact.

And before someone goes "WeLl DoNt TaRgEt ThE hEaD oR dOnT hIt"

As you're going in for a hit the other player is still in motion and could result in that split second continuation of a clean hit tot a hit to the head.

I think they'll just call the hit to the head more often, which is fair and needed.

by the time the team gets in the playoffs and is contending i would be surprised if Gally is still on the team anyway tbh.

Would you care to show your work on the claim that most teams have a 3-5 year rebuild window by listing the teams and the years you think the rebuild lasted?
Bruins rebuilt 2005-2008 and were contending after. Penguins 2001-2006 and were contending after. Tampa was a bit unique but they weren’t ever rebuilding for longer then three years during the late 2000’s/early 2010’s. Chicago rebuilt 2005-2008. The only team I can think of that had any real success in the salary cap era, and somebody can correct me if I’m wrong, that spent more then 5 years rebuilding were the Oilers. And they got lucky winning a lottery with McDavid. Most teams that spend longer then that 3-5 year risk developing a losing culture like the Sabres. If you use the same logic our fans use that the 21/22 season doesn’t count as part of the rebuild on the teams I mentioned, you can argue some of those teams rebuild even faster then I mentioned.

Jordan Greenway is UFA after this year and makes $3M which is a big chunk for a tweener more so 3rd liner. But he is huge, skates well and decent defensively and can hit. Could help the 3rd line or blender him to the 2nd.

I'm still wondering about Zegras.
I'm skeptic on Zegras. We've tried similar moves for recent high picks in past. Newhook, Drouin, Dach, Laine, Barron. It hasn't worked out. If a team is willing to trade a recent high pick, it's a red flag.

On Zegras it sure can be a red flag. I'm picking up though that Verbeek wants toughness and old time hockey, Zegras is not that. Maybe Verbeek undervalues him and remember I said cheap. I can certainly see Zegras benefiting from MSLs coaching approach.

For us, I am wondering if adding more skill could help. Our 2nd line is in tatters, our whole bottom 9 is actually doing badly.

So I'm just throwing Zegras out there as he may be a bargain right now. But absolutely he may not be the right fit for us at even 40 cents on the dollar.
