It a big haul but it is quantity over quality, it will be a late 1st, the two prospect aren’t A prospect and Kuzmenko is a above avg replacement player but it is mainly a cap dump…

Regardless of how he is performing he is the best they got right now… Just like us Regardless of what you think of him Armia is still significantly better than the next guy in our depth chart. One of the biggest reason NYR is look for a C is that he lost Chytil so they are already down 1 top 9 get rid of Kakko that is 2 top 9, even if Monahan is better than both individually in the playoff it your weakest link that will cost you. Even if they trade Kakko for Monahan they are likely to make an other move to replace Kakko, Kakko might be on the block but I think he will likely return a roster player that isn’t a rental or get move in the off season.

Well the Lindholm trade kind of nullifies your argument there. Teams will make what you claimed would be a lateral move when it's an upgrade.

Oh I'm sure it's quite a few. Not only did Lindholm go for a haul but they missed out on the top center and there's only one left In his tir... Sean Moneyhands. The Rangers better be sending Gorton a fruit basket if they want a shot at him

There a re 8 or 9 teams needing centres. Rangers need 2. There are 2 left (Monahan and Henrique). The GM's know what Hughes wants. A smart one would move quickly. If they are worried about Monahan's health they should pay what ever they have to to get Henrique.

Good point I don't think that many teams will be in the running but rangers are definitely a good trading partner if we can settle the beef. Winnipeg and Edmonton too I see a good fit. Gotta be a few others I'm missing too. Monahan best option left so should stir up some desperation.

Anything you get for monahan is gravy at this point. Already have 1 1st. But when you see what lindholm just got dealt for you have to assume monahan will get at least a 1st. Not the rest though. Maybe a meh prospect like smilanec. Monahan does have more points then lkmdholm and cheaper. But there is the health issues

Edmonton, we have everything you need.

A good and stable 6th RD defenseman to play with Kulak on the 3rd pair. Cheap at 750k$ for another year. Kovacevic for a 2nd (see Kulak price 2y ago).

A good 2nd or 3rd line C. Can play has a winger too. Monahan for a conditional late 1st. Based on game played in rs.

A good vet and Stanley cup winner to help Skinner !Jake Allen at 50% retained for a 2nd. Could be in 2026!! So only ~1,8m$ for Allen until next year !!

Bring the parade to Edmonton !!!!!
