The hope would be to get rid of dead weight to desperate teams who bye into the overhype MTL media generates about a player. Basically what everyone said at the start of the season "just wait until the tdl and Drouin will be gone", etc etc.

If now's not a good time to dump these guys, then when is? Hopefully the Dadonov move isn't just a lateral move, but likely it will be.

I'll reserve actual outrage for Friday evening though.
Your post makes no sense.

So you buy a cabin and there's a huge bucket full of shit in it. Your family asks you to try to sell the bucket of shit. You can't find a buyer because nobody wants your bucket of shit. You then have to let the bucket of shit go for nothing. Should your family be outraged because you couldn't get anything for the bucket of shit?

Allen's agent was on a big show "Tous le Monde en Parle" on TV and he basically said when Allen re-signed, Hughes made promises to him that he would be there for a while talking about "helping the kids" and stuff like that. So that may be a reason why he won't be moved.

Personally I would be fine with Montanbeault and a promising young goalie sharing the load. We don't need Allen.
It's so rare to have vets interested in taking care of the kids that it might be worth it to keep those who want to around. Price was didn't want to "play babysitters", but Monty has often thanked Allen for his improvements in the last year.

Beside, goalies aren't worth much on the trade market. Korpisalo was basically a freebie.

And they are all going to be traded at age 22-24 again, if they don't bust. Rince & Repeat. Arizona is a farm team.

Being a Vancouver fan must feel like us Habs' fans felt like for years with no plan, that team should've just been blown up and they could've been tanking for Bedard.

Guys like Miller, Horvat, Boeser and even Garland/Demko should've all been traded and they could've built around Petersson and Hughes. They could've got a very good pick as well as tons of prospects/picks to build around.

Re-signing Miller, signing Mihkeyev, trading for Hronek is just going to keep them mediocre.

So you're blaming the new GM's for the past 10 years of mistakes and mismanagement then? Cuz that's what it sounds like.
Drafting a 5'6 cupcake??? You realize they drafted one of the biggest players in the draft last year, right? They also just acquired a 6'3, 205 lb forward.

Considering the moves they've made, "4D chess theory that soft and overpaid losers with zero intensity will help the rebuild move along quicker" is one hell of hot take.

If these loser players are gone after this summer I’ll change my tune. Until then I’m reserving my right to be skeptical like all the other wizards molson has hired to continue down this plan of failure the last 25 years.

Exactly what I was thinking too when they made the Hronek trade.

Your solution to resolve the mess is to take the most aggressive, difficult and costly route to resolve the mess?

I get being tired of mediocrity, but wanting fast turnarounds is why Montreal has been stuck in mediocrity.

24 hours until we are stuck with the same team next season. My senses are tingling

We got unlucky that Eddie and Monahan got injured. But the sky isn't falling.

RHP has already worked his way past the vets on the depth charts. Farrell, Heineman, Gurianov, and Slaf will get their shots to do the same.

Speedy Ylonen should at least be on the 4th line.

That plus Caufield is 7 young guys for 8 wing spots.

Minus Dadonov.

Drouin and Monahan will probably get extended at this point. You never have enough vets to replace the ones that are breaking down.
I watched Dallas play against the Canucks in Dadonovs first game with the Stars. I was watching him skate and I thought to myself that is by far the fastest I've seen him skate this year. Nowhere near the same compete level.

Again it was his first game on his new team who is contending. So a little more jump in his step possibly and under DeBoer again, but I thought wow if the Habs even got 30% of that they likely would of have gotten a decent return. He looked completely different playing.

I wonder if Larkin wouldve the signed that extension if he knew the next day Yzerman was going to trade Hronek and his best buddy Bertuzzi
