Seems like everyone went home for the day

I think the Panthers grabbing Tarasenko kind of set off a panic in the market as teams rushed to get deals done before somebody else could swoop in on the most coveted pieces.

Interesting that Hanifin -- the skater with the most trade rumors swirling about him -- remains unmoved. I think he winds up in Tampa, and it seems like the Lightning aren't inclined to panic at the moment.

Guenztel is the other big piece. Sounded like he would be moved by end of today, but who knows.

Calgary probably asking a lot. (I would too if I were them.)

Who’s not happy in the East today?

Carolina
Toronno
Boston
Tampa
Rags

But I don’t think Detroit, Philly, Islanders care too much.

Love the pickup, and damn it cost nothing! Half retained too, amazing hahaha please don’t put him in the top-6 though. The point is to add depth, we don’t need all 6 of our best forwards in the top-6, spread it out, the 3rd and 4th need to be dangerous too. The two setups I see are:

Verhaeghe-Barkov-Reinhart
Cousins-Bennett-Tkachuk
Rodrigues-Lundell-Tarasenko
Luostarinen-Stenlund-Lomberg

Or

Rodrigues-Barkov-Reinhart
Verhaeghe-Bennett-Tkachuk
Luostarinen-Lundell-Tarasenko
Cousins-Stenlund-Lomberg

If cousins can hang with line 2 like they did for a while there last playoffs, that opens up a lot more possibility and makes us deeper for sure. Luo on the 4th would be fantastic, Rodrigues and tarasenko on the 3rd is fantastic
