Sooooo, anyone want to take a guess at lines with and without Nyquist?

Based on 5v5 ToI:
Kap/Hartman/Zucc
Boldy/JEE/Nyquist
MarJo/Freddy G/Foligno
Duhaime/Dewar/Reaves

Brodin/Dumba
Merrill/Klingberg
Middleton/Spurgeon

Playoffs:

Zucc - Hartman - Kap
Nyquist - Ek - Boldy
Johansson - Sundqvist - Foligno
Dewar - Gaudreau - Duhaime

Brodin - Klingberg
Middleton - Spurgeon
Merrill - Dumba

Defense is where I’m unsure. For once we have too many righties, I’d much rather scratch Merrill.

Really hope we see a Nyquist-Gaudreau-Boldy and Sundqvist-Ek-Foligno lines for the playoffs. Mojo can f*** off to the 4th line for all I care then.

I do like this line a lot. Maybe MoJo could work as a center again somehow. I just don’t like Gaudreau in that role, that line should be offensive driven.

If Sundqvist is who I think he is when I’ve watched Detroit, he doesn’t skate well at all.

Feels like they should’ve moved Dumba, but based on the return for Klingberg, there really must not have been a lot of interest.

Is Addison just going to sit the rest of the season? I think he’s definitely gone in the offseason.

When the team is healthy, for pressbox FWDs I see Dewar, Shaw, and Steel sitting. They'll play all of Sundquist, MarJo, Nyquist, and Reaves (guys the GM traded for).

When the team is healthy, for the pressbox I see Goli sitting, Klingberg plays, and Addison (waivers exempt) goes to the AHL.

There's no roster limit. They'll just keep Addison up.

I'd also be surprised if Reaves is in the lineup come playoffs., Dewer is one of our most effective penalty killers.

Not the TDL day I wanted. At least they did add another d-man like I wanted.

De-Lo last year was in the Playoffs over Dewar. Reaves will be in the Playoff lineup for "grit" reasons. They just added better plugs than Dewar and they can PK also.

I know there is no roster limit, but Iowa needs help, and it does Addison no good to just be sitting in the pressbox when he could be playing. Sustr was RD in Iowa and he's gone now.

Dewar is a much bigger part of the team this year, with the penalty killing.

Idk, this feels like the best TDL the Wild have ever had.

De-Lo wasn't acquired just for truculance though, like Reeves was. Our PK was abysmal, and he was known as a PK specialist. About 10% of De-Lo's icetime in MN came on the PK.

This year our PK is good. Dewer is a solid piece of that.

As for Iowa, BG doesn't give a shit about Iowa in the grand scheme of things. You only get 4 AHL callups post deadline, he's gonna keep the two NHL ready D on the roster

I just don't see anything brought in in the last few days as making any difference. The upgrade at 6D is the only thing of note for me. The rest are just more of the same as they already have. The big holes next to Boldy and at 1C are still there.

Maybe not done yet. They're saying that trades sent in before the deadline and queued up for approval by the league are still not official.

Don't pay much attention to the NHL, but that forward lineup doesn't look good enough to do any real damage come playoff time.

I had no belief that we could transform our top 6 at the TDL, with our cap sitch next year, unless we mortgaged the future. Not the time. We might’ve have given the bottom six a kick in the ass, though. Greenway gone, Foligno injured, Steel, and Shaw certainly are going to lose playing time, if not Dewar.

Would be perfect if GOLI was sent elsewhere for a mid round pick. He and Greenwyay gone would save 5 M next year.

Totally. He should have traded for McDavid.

If I learned anything from the military it's how to look busy but not accomplish a dang thing. This is what I see from the GM doing this year.

4 callups is technically true, but teams use way more than that as label them emergency callups.
