Deadline for the AHL for players with no NHL attachment is next Monday. I'll bet we see some movement there too.
It's a bad gamble imo. It would be fine if it was 4 years or a millions less but this is a huge contract for a kid who always projected as the next Lars Eller. People laughed at that woman on draft day but she was right imo. They are taking a gamble because it could be a steal in the next 2 years but Kotkaniemi this season struggle to play on the third line with awful icetime.
He did not even progressed from last year a habs in a stacked team with Carolina.
Terrible extension. the ''4.82m'' to mock the habs is even more pathetic
They are busy putting together the highlight video of his time in Montreal. Skating and not doing much else for 5 mins. Oh and there’s that goal the other day against the Sens.Is the Kulak trade official ? It is not mentionned on the Habs twitter account while they talk about lekh and hammonds
You can disagree with the approach, that's fine... but is it clear or not?Which is.... getting rid of players who are useful and willing to play in Montreal instead of getting rid of real dead wood and pouters ????
Edmonton B?????If you're watching TSN on Youtube, this is how they are ranking teams.
He probably did not get his asking price for Allen. He can still be traded next deadline.Allen instead of Hamburgler would have been my only preference but HUGO killed it today.
Gives me faith we can move at least a couple more contracts in Petry/Gally/Armia/Byron/Drouin/Dvo during the summer.
We should be a really good team in 2 - 3 years.
I'm admittedly not knowledgeable, I'm still learning, but I do think Kotkaniemi's 8 year extension was odd. I'm not saying "he's terrible. What a waste" but 8 years is a loooong time and at $4.82m AAV......that's a lot of money paid to a guy who has 23 points in 59 games. I actually like Kotkaniemi but I think I would've gone for something a little shorter.....maybe 4 years and I would've shot for $3.5 AAV. Again I'm not an expert whatsoever but that 8 years was shocking to me.Not a fan of Domi but not sure i'd call him not an improvement to a team. It's strange that our fan base, supposedly the most knowledgeable, still fail to realize how good Carolina is. It's okay to be salty but at one point you must keep contact with reality.
So next year?we didn't need Aho here now anyway, he'll come when our Stanley Cup window is wide open.

Really surprised by the lack of movement concerning Allen. If I was any team wanting a goalie, I would have jumped on him even before MAF. What is Edmonton doing? They already made a trade with the Habs, I would have asked for Allen. Although I figure the Habs were really not interested in moving him?
Yeah he’s the perfect candidate for a bridge deal. No one has any idea of what he will become. He also doesn’t know either because he accepted this deal.I'm admittedly not knowledgeable, I'm still learning, but I do think Kotkaniemi's 8 year extension was odd. I'm not saying "he's terrible. Sometimes there is nothing to add..You love quoting tweets from past years without context, don't you?

Context is that Bergevin TDLs were 95% of the time scrap players with 0 skills whatsoeverYou love quoting tweets from past years without context, don't you?
82 his number in Carolina which is cringeI'm blanking, what the significance of the number?
Allen never was a number 1 and never will be. Number 2 goalies with term is rarely what teams look to address at the deadline. Next year is the last season of his contract he'll be more interesting at the deadline.
