Bieksa pumping up Dach who has sucked.

Zach MacEwen might be an option.

He's good in the AHL, spot filling in the NHL. He does have 1 more year, but might be able to get soemthing small for taking that on

I thought you meant teams that improved by selling, not necessarily made the playoffs. St Louis sold Statsny while being in a playoff spot and used the 1st to go and get O'Reilly in the offseason, they won the cup the following year, they also sold Shattenkirk while being a point away from the playoffs the year before i believe.

This is easily the best example. In both cases however, they were mature teams underperforming rather than a rebuilding team trying to push to the next step.

Let's stop f***ing around and go out big game hunting

I want Barzal, EP40 or at least Zegras to play behind Suzuki before the end of the day

Make it happen, Hughes!!
I think the only realistic one here is zegras and it'll require quite a bit to get him, But if we weren't giving up reinbacher or demi im in

Yeah, exactly. I'm trying to see the value of acquiring maybe a 2nd, 3rds and 4ths. I guess it would be that it would tank the rest of the season, getting a better draft pick. But, just like last year, the east is weak at the bottom and the WC spots are up for grabs. The team doesn't have a viable second line but if you watch the competing teams they all have systemic issues.

We need hockey trades and those do not usually get done at the TDL. We'll have to wait for the draft and 1st July. Criticism will be justified this summer if we do nothing on the 2C and RD front.

So. Who's interested in gutting the farm for Pastrnak? Bruins are finally cooked with nothing on the horizon. I can't see Pasta just wanted to stick out the rest of his prime on a rebuild. McAvoy too but I think they're hold onto him since elite D can maintain play into their mid-late 30's.

They'll regroup in off-season. I don't see them rebuilding. It looks like they'll get their first top 10 pick in a long while, though.

Statut quo is the most boring and sad situation for your team. Not sellikg or buying makes sucj a f***ing lame day for our team.

f*** no. Guy is not even 1/3 ppg in his last 30 games. He's a snowflake who crumbles as soon as he has a smidgen of adversity.

I agree with Barzal. A rare case where I'd be willing to throw in Hage++, but why would the Isles trade him?
To be fair, I feel like things have not been right in Vancouver for a while. Horvat gone. Miller gone. Petterson might be gone.

Demidov is 100% untouchable IMO
I don't think Reinbacher should be added in a Zegras Trade too

I'd throw a bunch of 1st round picks in the Trade tho

I don't see why we would add a 2C today , makes no sense , offseason move. We would just get fleeced today
The reason is if you are able to get a 2nd line center you do it so its done and you arent competing with other teams in the off season when they have more cap space/trade pieces. Once we get our 2nd line center its done and we can focus on getting a RD.

I like Hugues strategy. We are not buyers for obvious reasons and we will only sell high.

What’s the point of trading Armia or Savard if the return is a 3rd? We have a young team and they can learn a lot until the end of the season. Not selling vets should give them a boost of confidence with management taking the next step (see how they can fight for a playoffs spot and keep the important changes for the offseason).

Don't know price paid, Norris COULD have been an interesting gamble but rewind last year and he'd be called injury prone. Would have been risky but a good fit here
