Why would ANY team want Torres?

Haha, ok but you have to include his response.

Because he plays hard, good teammate, playoff experience, players hate playing against him and he's a good player @Chr_stinaMarie.
He'll probably be better at being Burish than Burish. Except for the whole being stuck with him for 3 more years thing.

The name in the back isn't as important as the name on the front, blahblah.

I'll withhold judgement until I see how he plays with us. He seems like less of a homicidal maniac this year.

Well, the problem is now that's he's on our team, you WANT him to be a homicidal maniac

This is such a waste of a season. Can't end soon enough.

We dropped three dead weight players, are set with picks for a great draft, and, when all's said and done, have a team that, if they play to potential and get some luck, can do an okay run in the playoffs.

This year is far more fun than last year.

so let me get this straight, you need scoring depth, you say you wont trade picks for rentals. Then you trade for Raffi Torres and Scott Hannan for picks.

I cheer for the Sharks, but I will boo Torres, I don't care if he has a teal sweater on. When he inevitably cheapshots someone in the playoffs and embarrasses our team I hope it gets Wilson fired. Also, if by some miracle we did win the cup it would always have an asterisk for me now.

Ever since the Michalek hit he has been my least favorite professional athlete, and the numerous cheap intent to injure hit's he dishes out are ridiculous, I love the Sharks, but this dude sucks way too much.

Carolina ate some of his cap hit and we get 2 free compliance buyouts this summer. No reason not to pursue that option over Torres for a high 3rd.

that's true, but i don't think they needed another defensive minded forward and the pens did give up a second. Thats also three mill that they need to spend to buyout Havlat and Burish.

So I'm in the rationalization phase now.

Raffi has done so much TO us in the past, now it's time for him to pay us back by doing stuff FOR us!!!! If he can separate the best opposing player's shoulder in every series, **** yah!

There's something amusing about our fans freaking out and wishing Raffi to die in a fire because he's such a violent player.

Step away from the bridge, guys. An asterisk if we win the cup with him? Come on.

I wont lie, the Sharks do need to get a bit more dirty in the playoffs. The problem is, Torres has a huge target on his back from the officials because hes a dirtball. All hes going to do is put the sharks on a pk.
