Habs main need for the playoffs is a third line C (or a 2nd line C to bump Plekanec to the third line), other than potentially Hanzal, any other centres possibly available?

They should have taken the Eriksson + Spooner deal last deadline, to be honest.

Pretty sure it was Eriksson+Koko+1st or close to that as Dom said. Eriksson didn't agree to an extension, and the deal fell through. If Eriksson walked, Koko went to Russia, and we were left with just a 1st, that would've been a horrible move.

Eh maybe not. You would have gotten a good prospect and cap space for a center possibly. Khokhlachev may not have left for Russia either if St. Louis had a roster spot. But of course, we'll never know.

No way Boston offered Eriksson and Spooner. St. Louis probably would have taken that.

I wouldn't call Koko a good prospect anymore.

Wild MIGHT have a good Dman or two on the block, depending on how they are doing in the standing at the TDL

I say might, because they might decide to go the 8 man draft route and protect 5 Dmen.

Bishop probably goes to a playoff bound team that needs a goalie. Probably Dallas.

I think it's exceedingly unlikely that Bishop is moved, unless some team absolutely blows Yzerman away with an offer. I just don't see a scenario where the return for a rental goalie (albeit an excellent one) outweighs his value to a top three or four cup contender.

My bold prediction: Hawks are brutally out of a playoff spot so they trade Panarin(upcoming RFA) to the Jets for some combination of young forwards and Crawford to Dallas for Niemi and picks/prospects.

So the hawks are not going to make one, but two trades within the hyper competitive Central?

Don't the Flyers also have playoff aspirations?

The assets are probably worth more to the organization than the marginal chance that Streit helps us push further into the playoffs if we happen to qualify.

He would simply be decent depth on defense for a contender; he's not good enough anymore to tip the scales for a bubble team.
