  • Sportsbook will reset after the Cup is won
Need a gm to give up firsts for these guys like tre too bad tre is the leafs gm

Seeing what Carlson (who has 46 pts in 55 games) went for doesn't give me a ton of confidence in the return for OEL. Hope I'm wrong

It's a little like Marchand getting traded to Florida I guess. Also I'm shocked he only have a M-NTC... crazy.

Honestly even that Garland trade doesn’t give me a lot of confidence when it comes to a McMann trade. I’m hoping Treliving betting on holding out until the last minute doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass.

Garland starts a 6x6 contract next year, not the same as BM/SL for dirt cheap and min term

In all seriousness:

I'd be happy if we moved:
  • McMann for 2nd and prospect
  • One of OEL/Carlo for a 1st
  • One of Stecher/Jarnkrok for a mid round pick
End up with:
-1st
-1st
-2nd
-4th
-5th
-Prospect

Would be a good haul

Of course the Leafs suck and have no assets when Carlson became available.

The Leafs have been looking for a QB1 forever and he would have been perfect in a couple of seasons prior

I mean he wasn’t available a couple of seasons prior… And although he has a modified no trade clause, I feel like he was traded to a destination of his choosing out of respect for what he’s done with the Washington organization. I don’t think he would have wanted to come to Toronto.

You are most likely correct. Sucks

Put me on the "must trade OEL" train.

Nobody is giving up a 1st+ for him in the offseason. That's not how player valuations work.

In looking at their blueline, getting younger has to be a priority, and OEL is probably the right guy to be moving to make that happen.

I’m wondering if we move a goalie today as well. Of course it would help if one of ours was playing well.
If a goalie is moved, I’m starting to wonder if it’ll actually be Woll. I think he would return the best package out of the three and similar to the Laughton - Roy situation where everyone was talking about Laughton being the one getting traded (still will most likely) we were all surprised Roy actually got dealt first. Everyone is talking about Stolarz getting traded but maybe we all get surprised and see Woll actually traded.

Both goalies have warts, but with Hildibeast in the wings I’m moving Woll, Stoli will accept being a backup more readily than Woll who might go AWOL again if he doesn’t get his way?

Smarter now if possible.
1) trade deadline prices
2) summer: glut means less leverage.
