Knies, Carlo (50% retianed) for Power, Helenius, 4th OA

Maybe Leafs add their 3rd in the deal or something to top up value for BUF a bit.

Exactly but he’s kinda “ small “ so he’ll continue to be underrated . Played previously for Hiller so would be interesting to know his thoughts . Right handed , good in transition . He’d be a get imo . Harley , Mintyukov and Spence are the guys I’m eyeing up / hoping we inquire on .

I didn’t say any of that. In fact at no point did I say Rielly shouldn’t be traded.
But you seem to think cap space if going to score 50 goals, have 25 shutouts, win the Hart, Vesna, and Norris for us next season so there’s no point.

I have pointed out in numerous ways how much cap space we have and how little there is to actually use it on but all you do is come up with new Vague ways to say it will somehow bring us better players later. I really don’t have the bandwidth to keep this argument going over a player that it’s probably time to move on from anyway. Especially with someone who just can’t grasp out cap situation

Let’s see who’s put on waivers and whether having cap room to pick up them up makes sense, and although cap space won’t get you 50 goals neither will Mo. I’d rather have the “useless” cap space than the useless player.

Wilson will most likely be the next captain and isn't going anywhere.

I can see the possibility of Strome being moved out to upgrade the C position and can also see them adding a RD.

Whenever player talents are close SHOP CANADIAN, or at least don't shop American.
I think in the next 5 years this is only going to get worse.

Knies didn't hesitate to extend, same with Jake McCabe. Toronto really hasn't had the same trouble with US players that small market Canadian teams do

A bit off topic, but I saw Tom Wilson at a park in Toronto with his family this week. The guy is an absolute unit.
