Bringing in Gibson is cap suicide. Dude has been a below average goalie for years now. If he doesn't rebound in a big way our window shuts immediately.

You was amount leafs fan who was telling at trade deadline than Manson was trash and not even more the d he was like 4 5 year ago?

He just switching to a very good team and hes pretty solid right now as 4th D...

Its the same thing with Gibson, when you playing 3/4 of the game without the puck, at the end as d or goalie a way or an other you will be expose and you will look eorst than what you are in reality.

He’s 5th out of 7 in post season Ice time for Colorado D. 4 seconds ahead of EJ averaging about 17:11/game. That’s bottom pairing. Colorado is a win away from the cup because of makar and mackinnon and their big guns getting it done, not because Josh Manson is playing 17 mins on the bottom pair

What was the prediction for this year's 115 point team? How close was it to reality?
Give me a day or 2 on that one. I’ll have to re-do the entire data set. I’m going to assume less than 115 points because 8/12 forwards on that roster had career years this past season. Hard to project that.

Tyler Bertuzzi
Luke Kunin
Zach Aston reese

My forward targets for the off-season

Bunting - Mathews - Marner
Bertuzzi - Tavares - Nylander
Engvall - Kunin - Roberson
ZAR - Kampf - Simmonds/Douglas/Prospect

I replaced all the data with 2018-2021 data to duplicate how this model would have projected last season:

110 points which is pretty good considering how many players had career years.

Yeah, that's my question.

Matthews, marner and Nylander aren't in their prime, Nylander is close, maybe this year.
Same with Sandin and Liljegren, who I think can both be regulars this season, although Giordano might be an obstacle for Sandin, but still Sandin just turned 22 in March, which is still very young for a defender.

Only 8 defenders picked in his draft have more games played than he does. He's really only played 1 year of NHL games. Out of 70 defenders picked only 25 have played, and of those he's ninth in games played. Too soon to judge.

Each year, except 1, the three core youngsters have gone up in PPG.
Tavares was actually better this year than 2 previous years.

Can you imagine if Campbell didn't go in the tank for over 2 months?
Still think he must have been played at less than 100%, as when he came back he improved, just not to his all star form.

Bertuzzi is a no go, how many times does this have to come up?
What kind of selfish prick holds out as the only guy in the league unvaccinated and purposely puts his team in disadvantageous situations.
I’d have serious character questions about a guy like that

Also if Mrazek didn't.
If mrazek plays to his career norms or even as a league avg guy this team probably wins the presidents trophy and gets a much easier first round matchup.

Considering they were 7 points off and he only had 6 losses to his name this year that's a little iffy but I'll give you it. That would mean that of his 6 losses they'd have won 4, which would mean he would have 2 losses in 20 games on the season.

Okay, I’ll change it to if he was healthy and played to his career norms.
If he’s healthy and can play a normal 35-45 game workload like what was expected of him when signing them they win the presidents trophy

Just because a person believes in their immune system doesn't mean they have character issues. I nearly died because my 18 month one and have had ongoing health issues since. Does that make me of questionable character for not wanting to die?

I would like Bertuzzi, but the current rules make him a non-starter. I do like the way he plays.

Who else is along that type of player that works for the Leafs?

I would question the character of a guy who put his team in a disadvantaged position over “believing in my immune system” yes. It’s a flu shot, get it & move on. Especially when paid millions a year to be the best teammate you can be

There are plenty of Doctors and front line workers who refused to get vaxinated.

T.J. Miller is probably another great fit for the Leafs but not sure how well liked he is in the room.

Jt Miller you mean? TJ Miller would be a super questionable signing for a multitude of reasons and none of them being he’s an actor not a hockey player

LOL yeah I mean the guy who plays for the Canucks. J.T. Miller.
Lol I thought so, although deadpools cheeky bartender buddy would be a hilarious addition to the group.
JT Miller would add exactly what this team needs, and I was banging that drum since early this last season when it was evident Vancouver was firing everyone and trading pieces eventually.
