Because sometimes it happens. Maybe Guerin wants to take a run at Marner. Maybe he has 2 guys in mind for UFA.

My first preference would be to keep and bridge Rossi, but I'm operating under the assumption that this isn't going to happen. Just a feeling.

I was playing along with the offer big money to Marner that has been going around. I think Nelson and Gavrikov are the two free agent targets that make sense for the Wild.

Foligno has a full NMC.

True, which is why Brodin is being traded for non-premier assets.

Open to suggestions on upgrading the D. They suck as a unit now without making any moves.

For most of us here, I think that's most ideal, but as far as what Guerin would be looking for, your guess is as good as ours

I think most of us suspect Guerin is going to go hard after Brock Nelson in free agency, and going into next season with Eriksson Ek and Nelson as the top two centers, so in that sense, he might not necessarily be after a center for Rossi

-Rossi for Jiricek (they gave up a lot of picks for him).
-Add in some spin about getting to use Rossi as a rental with out paying TDL prices.
-It ends up as basically a hockey trade, a 3 team trade, or whatever in his mind.
