Trading Rossi would resonate negatively in the locker room, IMO. Rossi is the one guy who has done everything asked of him, and more, by the management, and has shown, if not elite, then quasi elite ability to score points while playing the Center position, all at a young age. He doesn't miss games, doesn't act like a jerk off ice... what more does Guerin want?
I could see a house cleaning in Vancouver if they miss the playoffs. Tochett gone(good riddance, always thought he was a jerk), Boeser, and EP. They can't be paying a guy 11.6M and have him mail it in like he has. I wonder if they would go for a trade based on Rossi + Ohgren for EP? Maybe even throw in Spurgeon both for cap reasons, and to provide cover for Quinn Hughes, who seems to have no help on the team. It would be a risk for us, if it turns out that EP's terrible year is a sign of things to come, rather than just a blip.
