I don’t actually even think Guerin is a bad GM but I’m getting really sick of how he deals with the media

Rossi for Berniers seems to be a trade that BG would go for. Berniers hasn't produced as well after a nice rookie season, but i always liked him, and wonder what he could be away from SEA.

Not gonna lie, I would probably do this. I love Rossi but Beniers has that O'Reilly/Bergeron/Toews thing going on. I don't wanna trade Rossi but that's one guy I'd do it for.

I’m not worried I’m just curious at this point. The Kaprizov domino is the first one that has to fall… we should start to know more soon but I don’t know how he can make decisions on anything / anyone else until he knows exactly how much Kaprizov costs and if he can even resign him.

It'll be a cold day in St Paul if he can't. But if I'm Kaprizov, watching this team right now...well that better be one hell of a pitch from the Wild. This mystery plan from Guerin right now looks like he's expecting me (Kaprizov) to carry a bunch of 'shit players' on my back.
Damn. Dumba was right, you really were pretending not to know English.

No way we can do it alone, our hope rests in ek playing like his old self. Rossi and Boldy getting close to or above ppg. Faber doing Faber things, Buium being a stud, Yurov Ohgren and any free agent contributing on a meaningful 20 to 30 goals each.

I put the odds at around 33% that he is back after this contract and even lower that he’s back at cap hit that is stomachable.

So where do you go if you are kap? Who has a chance at a cup that can afford you?
Usual suspect, Florida.

Panarin's contract ends the same summer, so NYR could give that money + a little more.

Colorado could give him Necas' + Coyle's + Manson's money.

I'd maybe say Vegas but Stone + Pietrangelo end a year too late and they both have NMC's.

Kaprizov smells like Tampa / Florida to me, but yeah I never count of Vegas when it comes to these type of guys either…

Big Russian community in NYC.

I guess Kap wil go to the team with low taxes and which offers him the most money. In the end, it's a business.
I don't think so. It will be money, chance to win, quality of organization. I don't begrudge Kap for looking for a better situation, just like I would be ok with the Wild trading him if his salary demands are out of line.

I would prefer that BG moves Spurgeon in the off season, while he still has a bit of value. He's been a really good player for the team, but at this point you have to wonder how necessary he is - it's not like he has a history of leading the team to playoff wins, or even the playoffs. Trading him would make it (a bit) easier to overpay Kap(i.e. 14-15M), if that's the direction the team wants to go in. What's the point of loading up on young Dmen like Faber, Buium, and Jiricek if we aren't going to hand them the reins of the team? We've still go Middleton and Brodin as dependable vets... we need quality forwards.

I’ve long said I believe the plan is to move Spurgeon this offseason. Give Kaprizov the C as part of the sales pitch. Jiricek in theory should be able to somewhat play that role based on the assets you have up for him.

I'd like to believe this, but everything I've seen from Guerin tells me that Spurgeon is in the Foligno class of player for him, and will not be moved.
