I don't think that it matters. While sitting on top of the league, i still think the wild are at least one step away being a legit contender.
I'm really looking forward when the buy-out cap limitations expire. Whit the talent (Yurov, Ohgren/Heidt, Buium) the wild are going to add to this current core (Kap, Boldy, Rossi, Faber, Brodin, ... ) future is looking bright. But Guerin has to stop giving expensive multi-year contracts with no move clauses to bottom 6 players with the youth knocking on the door..
Much of the wild future depends on the goaltending. If Gus continues to play out of his mind we they need to resign him and that's gonna be expensive. Not sure if the cap space will be there for Kap, Rossi & Gus.
