i used to go to compuware arena to watch whalers games all the time like 10 years ago. Im glad i saw this, i might go. That's where it will be, right? haha

Yep. That's where it's at. I feel so lucky to be only 2 hours from the arena. I wish I was closer but can only go to the Saturday games.

Also, as to the US roster; it should be the NTDP U18 roster +/- a few kids.

Can't wait to see Wahlstrom, Farabee, K'Andre Miller, and Jack Hughes!

I live about 5 minutes from the arena. I ordered the full ticket package, and should be at most of the games. My wife will probably just join me for the evening games, as she's not going to sit through a doubleheader. We've missed the last couple of international tournaments here due to being out of town, so I am looking forward to this one.

Yes, we are pretty fortunate that USA Hockey bought the arena three years ago when Peter Karmanos had put both the arena and the Plymouth Whalers from the Ontario Hockey League up for sale. Otherwise, the arena would probably have been sold to a developer and the building bulldozed to make way for a commercial development. We lost the Whalers, but we still have major junior hockey and USA Hockey has invested a lot of money into improving the facility.

These tourneys are so fun. I bring my daughter (which is the best part for me). We stay all day Saturday. The games are fun. The people watching is just as fun. Seeing the Tkachuks or Mike Babcock, the scouts... it's all such good fun.

Jan Jenik got replaced by Jan Matiasek, hopefully he gets healthy for the U18 WJC, that's all that matters after all, but it still sucks. Jenik, Zabransky (two top players) and Malik are the three players missing (Jenik injury, Zabransky with Malik haven't been released by their CHL teams)
Other than these three the Czech team is at full strenght.
