But this can't be the full story as we know York did something really wrong because he was benched for the next game when Torts was no longer the coach.
Torts isn't that brightHe's an RFA, so wouldn't the ball be in Philly's court to not qualify him?
Pretty sure it's not about feelings when management doesn't have your back anymore.Did John hurt his feelings?
This has been a problem building for decades now. I know that people love the speed and offense over the last decade plus, but removing the redline has had a trickle down effect that has led to a decline in character and integrity in the game.Torts hates the new NHL at least the players who seem to be entitled, soft and out of touch with reality.
The NHL has created this by trying to keep up with the 'Jonses' as have crazy hockey parents that have created these mutant robots.
Sounds like dead puck era to me and I will give you a wholehearted "that's gonna be a no from me dawg.".This has been a problem building for decades now. By removing areas of physical contention and placing an emphasis on skating and puck skills, players who relied on guile, leadership and intelligence to cover for a lack in pure physical skill don't get the same opportunities that they used to. They aren't in favor for drafts at all levels of the game.
I would much rather watch a sport where players of incredible ability persevere through tight checking and physicality to shine than the current version of the game that reduced conflict so players of lesser skill look like stars too.
Im surprised no player has not beaten the shit out of TortzRyan Whitney reports that Torts told York
"If you re-sign here, I willy bury you".
Honestly, good for torts. The flyers have been so soft, and comments like those from Tippett about trades being harder on the former teammates than the traded player only exemplify that.

Was he banging a shoe on the table at the time?"If you re-sign here, I willy bury you".
I am not in the room bud but if you think NHL players have not changed over the years I got some air to sell you in Mars.1) You’re in the room? You know every single NHLer? Whoa.
2) If you feel that way, why are you watching?
Just a yelling at clouds post. We get it, you hate the modern world you’ve helped create, everyone else is soft and you clearly aren’t.
Anyways, if Torts said that it kinda crosses a line for me- getting into my career and saying I should move is personal, and if it was public that’s so much worse.
No idea on the story but torts always wears out his welcomed really quickly so it's a Torts thing and he doesn't get it.
I will always love Torts; he has no filter and isn’t afraid to share his controversial/non-conformist opinions.

Technically it was Yandle who was quoted on the show. The same Ryan Whitney who said Dahlin wanted out, but then was quickly put in his place ?
