Sure, the Habs deserve to be up, but there is no discrediting that goal. The only contact that was made was Price's glove tapping JVR a bit. The rest was what you normally see in a battle in front of the net.

There doesn't need to be contact with the goaltender. All that has to be proven is that JVR interfered with Price's ability to stop the puck. JVR was standing in Price's crease, and would not move when pushed by both the defender and Price himself. He interfered with Prices ability to challenge the shooter (i.e. would not let Price come to the top of his crease in order to stop the puck). Since the crease is the goaltenders space, the goaltender must be able to move freely within the space, which he was not able to do in this case. Therefore, the correct call was made.
