That's fair. Stolarz worse games have been worse than Woll's and yes, this is Woll's worst game of the season... even though we are getting outshot and generally playing like shit as we do most nights.

That’s still 2 more points that Grebenkin will ever score in the NHL.
But Laughton will never be able to match Grebenkin’s ridiculous comments to the media with a half dozen missing teeth and broken English.

I would bet on the leafs scoring most of them. I can't imagine san Jose will hold on to this lead. They aren't second last overall, or whatever it is right now, by accident.

Oh, I share your hate for James Reimer. He was just capable of such devastatingly bad play at times. Could be spectacular too but it leveled out to a kind of unpredictable Reimer Roulette of anxiety. Same thing with this Woll kid. Cool as a cucumber and a hero on many nights. Then consistently lets in the first goal in too many games and looks like he’s completely brain dead at other times.

Ostapchuk got a cross-check and Domi two roughs, it'd be weird if the refs were only going to call Domi's retaliation initially since Ostapchuk had the first cross-check but then who the hell knows with these clowns.

That's the thing about Woll.
We protect him and give him matchups between the 2 lowest scoring teams in the NHL and he goes and gives up 4 goals to each of them (so far). Neither team averages 3 a game. Come on man, we can't spoonfed you any easier matchups than this.
Can't even put up a .900 on the two lowest scoring teams in the league, #31 and #32 in goals for.

If anybody thinks Woll should be the starting goalie in the playoffs should just stop commenting on games. This is Woll, plays well during most of the game but then gives up mind numbing stupid weak goals.
Nope, you can check the box score, he got 4 for roughing.

.907 coming into tonight.. It's not elite but look around and see what others are doing. There are the more advanced stats of saves above expected and then pressure stats when a game is within a goal or tied.
He grades very well. These are not my stats so I have to trust the experts. What I do know is hockey tactics and individual roles within systems. I've done it most of my life.
In a copycat league, we are a generation or two behind what most teams are doing. So let me tell you, our goaltending... any goaltender that plays on this team.. has to be exceptional for us to win. .

For the amount of people saying regular season doesn't matter, the playoffs are different, blah, blah, blah, you'd think more people would have faith in Woll and Rielly, but I always see how the regular season matters for them for some reason.
jfc, that was an equally awful period. This is a terrible game of hockey... hardly any defence being played by the Leafs here. The Sharks players have so much time and space and so many lanes open they don't know what to do.

Game still there for the taking. How they win this one is (big picture) irrelevant, but they need to get it done. If they can avoid giving up a goal in the first minute they might have a chance.
PP on fire down the stretch, just to be extinguished in round 1? Hope not.

Career minor leaguer. Grebenkin is trash. But he’s amusing when it comes to being in front of the cameras making a fool of himself - - maybe becoming a mascot is how he can make it to the NHL?
