Neither Byron-DLR-Gallagher or Galchenyuk-Mitchell-Hemsky have any potential as lines.

Absolutely moronic IMO, we could never win a playoff round with these lines, so why use them in the regular season? Why not at least try to maximize our lineup? What's the worst thing that could happen?

And to me, if Plekanec is your 4C and Danault your 3C, you're in very good shape.

Didn't Phil Parent create a petition about hiring the best coach available a couple years back? Wonder whatever came of that.

We have a lot of passionate, creative and intelligent people in this community. Time to put some of that to good use.

What did I miss? I feel I should know this and I feel stupid.

I don't think we'll go through this for another 5 years with Bergevin, even casual fans and some of the media (which is new) are starting to get impatient. The trouble is his replacement will have to undo and upgrade most of his legacy, which means another few years of waiting for us. We need a change of leadership on and off the ice, but I think we mostly need a change in the team's culture. We are way too conservative to take any chances or risks, see Galchenyuk as exhibit A. PPG at 1C at the begining of last season before getting hurt, saw very few quality minutes when he returned. Same goes for firing employees, even if they're your friends : "I'm sorry Sylvain, but we need someone better with the farm. Can't wait to see you at the BBQ on saturday!". He also needs to be creative, I'm sick of hearing him say it's tough to trade. Many of the league's teams managed to get it done and make their team better. Be creative man.
