Toronto Maple Leafs: Who Would Replace Kyle Dubas?

You realize that 9 is a lot right? If you churn out 1 player each draft to play NHL games, that is a success. We've barely been drafting high over Dubas' 5 drafts and to get 9 players play NHL games by the age of 22/23 is pretty damn good for drafting outside the 1st round. Look at the rest of the league's drafting outside the 1st round and you want find many that are tracking better than what we've had.

Sandin, Durzi, Robertson, Knies, Holmberg will likely all be regulars next year. Durzi being the oldest at 24 and the rest are 23 and under. This doesn't include other guys who could be making NHL debuts next season like Niemela and Hirvonen. We might have had Amirov as a regular, playing a significant role if he didn't have a brain tumor as well. Everyone else is still too young and a wait and see but many are having good to great post draft seasons like Grebenkin, Tverberg, Voit and Minten.

Honest question, I should probably google and research but.....

Is Brandon Pridham a "Dubas guy" or would he have been brought in by Shannahan, likely crossed paths when they both worked for the NHL?

Is there any chance that he is considered since he has AGM experience, is often credited with being able to keep the Leafs (just barely) cap compliant?
I would say a Shanny guy.

He could be a serious candidate if Dubas is let go. Guy has done a phenomenal job with roster moves considering we've been as close to the cap as possible.

Looks like Simmons and The Sun are hard at work again.
