The Leafs were 10-3-2 with Schenn in the lineup once he got to Toronto so how could his play actually have constituted a problem unless you had a pre-existing issue with the player or don't like defensive defensemen, or you were watching 60+ Canuck games all year?

Ya McCabe trade may be his best as a GM, O'Reilly was having a rough year so that trade worried me. Great player historically but not a big fan of spending big on soon to be UFAs.

Sandin trade was particularly odd as Dubas didn't flip the pick as I expected. I hope that pick isn't used to get out of Murray's contract or something like that.

Ahh ok. Someone just mentioned that we've gotten slower(maybe Dubas changed his mind later)...And i agree with that...We are nowhere as fast as before. Teams used to always back off because every guy on our team was so quick..Now they have a much easier time getting to our forwards(especially guys like JT, OR and some others).

Yes it's true. And in addition to the Leafs getting slower I think the league has also gotten faster in the past 5 years.

Ya im guessing there was a handshake agreement when he signed his contract that he would get regular top 6 play and with McCabe joining he clearly wasn't going to get that. Dubas has done something similar with leivio before as well as others
