Starting the game at 7:30 rather than 7 on a Tuesday threw the leafs off there game.

Laissez faire in their own zone again. had possession on the first goal and blew it.. gave them three chances on the second without clearing.. only flashes of any sort of push back. Then give up a PP late.

Should have called up Clifford so he could take a 5 minute major. Team had a bit more juice last year in game 1. Tampa looks about the same as usual, which is really good.

Yep .. I'm souring on Keefe on a few things now but one is forcing this pairing when you can roll Tavares and ROR on separate lines with speedy wingers .. you're taking the offense away from the third line.

Holl only played 7:30 mins. Once he plays 10+ mins in each the second and third we should be fine. Why have Lili in the lineup and actually try to have some mobility on the back end. Just play Holl and Gio 20mins a night. At least Schenn makes up with his lack of mobility by actually making players fight for their space around the net.

Oh well, its only 1 period of a 7 game series. If this team had any balls we could write this off as a bad period but its mostly likely foreshadowing for the entire series.

Agreed, if JT can't be trusted 5 on 5 at C (management/Keefe seem to think so), instead of putting him on the wing, try him out at 3C with Orielly and Nylander holding down the 2nd line.

I don't remember that much but didn't Babcock like that cycle game? I mean it really depends on the lines for me. There is enough on this team to score some goals and at least make this a very close series but the way this is going is brutal and it's mostly on Keefe.

He was all about stretch passes and fast transitions.
