Partially. On their end sure, but other lines benefit from the lesser matchups and we have the depth to capitalize. It isn’t an accident you often see the lesser players excel in playoffs.

Yes depth is important in playoff hockey. But if they are having this much trouble creating offense against Montreal, imagine how they do against better teams if they manage to move on to next round?

That was my thought initially. I don't think anyone would expect him to be responsible or at least partially responsible for 2 GA in such short order. Obviously Keefe hasn't liked his game, and his TOI reflects that.

In retrospect it was probably optimistic to expect Sandin to be good in the playoffs when he'd only played 9 NHL games this year and didn't see any playoff action last year.

I don't like Dermott though, time to bring in Marty Marincin.
